emulators?
Before this start a flame war I am not looking for a specific emulator so dont tell me to search google.
I want to know your personal experiances with windows emulators and which you guys/girls like the best. Google wont tell me peoples personal experiance that is why I ask you guys/girls.
BTW. I am running Mandrake 8.2 with 680MB mem., 30 gig harddrive, 600 Athlon.

It really all depends on what you want to run. Each have their strong points and IMHO none of them do the complete job. But I'd give them a little more time, they are almost there.
-
What do you want to use the emulator for? Games, Office, etc etc etc? That will make the difference on which emulator to use.
-
I want to use it mainly to install Office 2000. If games worked that would be a plus
-
Are you talking about the gaming emulators? I don't understand exactly what your asking..
-
Whats the best for office 2000 in your guys/girls opionion
-
prolly that lame lindows, or try wine for the fun of it www.winehq.com
-
what have you guys used and recommend
-
-
I'll go out on a limb here and reccomend a commercial product. VMWare. The one and only.
Cheers,

here are 3 options,
WINE - www.winehq.com -Free
WINEX - www.transgaming.com -costs very little
VMware - www.vmware.com - costs a lot
as korp said, each has their benefits. Hope that helps.
wine works fine on office products.
btw, lindows is not an emulator......hence lindowsOS..... I will stop right there.
-
I would go with wine.
Lindows sucks ass, costs WAY to much money, and it doesn't even load Office properly right now.
You could always look into something like openoffice to replace MS office also. Although if this is a work machine, that may not work.
-
does openoffice open access databases and word documents?
-
No database program, that's left to Sun StarOffice which they say will be under $100.
Try reading the review.
