K2000's are the best. Nothing better than a partial stick of dynamite.
edit:
firecracker = k2000's - it nearly dynamite.
firework = bottle rockets, all the better to send GI Joe to space.
The Bin Laden firecracker thing! I like things that shoot up in the sky and make pretty colors, things that are tricky, and loud thing.
Thanks for your time~
Bottle rockets are always a blast. Roman candle fights are fun, too. But I have a special place for Jumping Jacks and Bumble Bees. Just something about the sound.
And for sheer bang, a nice, long string of Black Cats in a sewer drain. If you don't know, try it.
My uncle owns about four stores that sell fireworks and all in SC (where it's legal, it's illegal here in NC), and he gave my friends and I about 400 dollars worth of free ones yesterday to shoot off. My fave thing that he gave me are the mortars (these things are HUMONGOUS) and the Roman Candles, hehe, cuz they're fun to have fights with in the woods and all.
Also, got a big pack of bumblebees, those things are small, but fun. :)
Oh oh oh, and one thing _not_ to do is take smoke bombs and put them out on a crowded highway in the daytime... my friend Dennis is on probation right now for causing a wreck doing that last 4th. He's so freaking retarded, but he swears it was funny... I don't find fun in the thought, though it is interesting.
m-80s and quartersticks all the way. I love the feeling of the sound wave hitting me.
Do home built ones count?
when i was a kid we used to have bottle rocket wars, hook up all kinds of bottle rockets to our huffy's (thunder road) and chase each other round the hood, many times a bottle rocket came whizzing inches from my head.
now older...not into fireworks so much.
I love M-80s. Too bad fireworks are illegal in California. Too bad that doesn't stop me from buying them in Nevada and bringing them over. hehe I usually take a bunch with me when I go out camping in the deserts during winter. It's a nice way to get everyone get everyone going in the frigid cold air.

Yea JHYNX , i went to SC this summer , there is a fireworks shop on every street corner. Its awesome there. But my favorite kinds are putting the spiders on the bottle rockets and launching them to a new planet.Great stuff man.

M-80's, mortars and bottle rockets.......Tomahawk Cruise Missile's too :)
You know all the varieties that work underwater after being lit?... I've blown holes in buckets with those. Not to mention taking metal cans and things and having them end up with punched holes and warped bulges.
Plus, for fishing........
 saturn missile batterys rule. perfect for those bottle rocket fights, just place it under your boot and aim the direction you wanna create mass chaos in. and watch your opponents freak...all rational thought goes right out the window and the flight instinct kicks in and you get to watch the fun :D
i'll have to say the home-made waterproof half-sticks of dynamite. LOTS of fun.
i did the bottle-rocket thing when i was a kid… attaching them to kites, G.I. Joe guys and sending them up. lots of fun, but i regret losng the toys now. um. not that i uh play with toys or anything. heh…
Heh, I make my own firecrackers for the fourth. MUAHAhahahaha I have about 10 made now, ready to go. Suckers have electricaly controlled fuses and are radio detonated. w00t!
Blackcats. Just like little sticks of dynamite, beauties...
A guy I know cuts ping pong balls in ½ and packs them with black powder, inserts a fuse and glues the ½s back together......These things are way louder than the old real M80s we used to get...
Mortars, M-80's, bottle rockets, black cats, jumping jacks, roman candles and those little tiny ones that when you light the fuse, the twirl up in the air like helicopters, and sometimes fly towards the closest victim...always fun...heh
I'm a big ole wuss...I hate the ones that make loud noises. I prefer the ones that go WAY up in the air and are all pretty and sparkly.
On a side note...I ALSO went to SC to buy fireworks! Hey, just because I don't like the loud noises doesn't mean anyone else cares...trust me there will be lots of loud noises coming from my backyard tomorrow....lol!
Deb :D
Like these things called cobras everyother year am in Asia on New Years they come in a coil about 1 1/2 Trangle packages, (good ear protection required) can get them 250, 500, 1000 each one blows the hair straight back on the head :) all sort of like a cross between a M80 and 1/4 stick, next to that anything from a Motar.
m-70's or strobes and smoke bombs
Always wanted to try 300kg of Amonium-Nitrate in a van, but I'll have to settle for Red-tiger's....frenche design, and powerfull enough to level a small house, lol..... holland is great :)

I am partial to bottle rockets, while they are small and don't make much of a bang I still find them fun. Something I like to do on the 4'th, pack a coffee can full of bottle rockets, put on a welders glove and get yourself a propane torch, makes for a heck of a melee of rockets.
Happy 4th all and remember the USA is "THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE"
kucoo's they are nice, come in a ton of sizes and sound like a rooster at the end.
I basically love any fireworks. Heck, man, on the issue of explosives, me and my best friend ring doorbells and light a cluster (4 or 5) and throw in the house and run. We're crazy man.
:D
roman candles, m80's, and black cats make for a good show
