I better use Kazaa Lite no popups no bonzy , no spyware, no gator sh.. and works fine ;) but this site is a security site where we can discuss, learn or teach about security

WinMX is by far the best. U can download 1 file from a load of peeps. No spyware uses almost no system resorces it is great.
None. I'm building my own and plan to work it up so I'll be using that.
What language are you writing it in?
something as ez as a P2P could be done with VB

just make sure your p2p u make is virus free hehe i ahve goten one to many virus from the p2p things
I'm writing it in VisualBasic of course! So, yeah, I'd be using my own. But, I'll be programming it in VisualBasic and it is 55% complete.
JCHostingAdmin: I would be interested in seeing the final product, if you are going to distribute it.
Yeah, I'd say, a built in virus scanner, and compatibility with the clients of the most popular programs and you would have the best program out there. Plus if it could connect with other programs you'd already have like, 3 million users!
How nice would it be to have a P2P that does a virus scan as soon as the file is downloaded and to not have your ports wide open and to hide your ip from the peeps that u are trading with.

A neat little P2P program I recommend is MyKazaa. Here's a "c n p" from their site.
