I have some pictures at home I'd like to covert to ascii but I have now idea how it's done
Does anyone have any idea how those are done?
I mean is it just having a ascii converter and converting a jpeg or something? If this is the case I'd like to have one of those converters and if not, well you can't have everything right?
wowww.....that's wicked....gotta have that one for my pic......
I love ascii art, and that one is really cool too.
If you want to convert your pictures to ascii you can either get or buy a program taht does it
or
go to websites that do it for you. the best i found was here [ http://www.text-image.com/ ]
and its free!
Heres an interesting fact that i read in a linux mag once: the first pr0n that was ever made was in ascii, and there was these porn rings of guys who made ascii porn and swapped with each other!
i love ASCII ART!!!
I've been working on a project to Convert MPG into ASCII ART movies...
Any programmers interested?
...and the very best of luck to you with that tampabay.
hope it goes well and all that.
You might want to take a look at this thread of mine, it's almost a year old now and one of my first ones:

It's about ASCII art.
dang it- all of the good ideas are taken!!!
I love ASCII Art!!
As far as I know, you cant convert jpgs to ascii, but it looks like that is what has been done.
Because, I have NEVER seen work like this before.
I remember ANSI and ASCII art from back in the early 90's. We had our BBS's decorated with them. Ah those were the days. I used a program called Aciddraw. It used ANSI, and ASCII, and you had to place each indidvidual charactar in its respective place. Thats the impressive thing about this. I kinda look at them as modern day mosaics.
