I recently came across a weird thing. I saw that 2 AO members (namely, Uraloony and Jhenx) were banned while the the antipoints shown against them were very very high. How could this be??

It was a sacrifice to the security Gods......Every 3 years we sacrifice a couple of senior members to appease the Gods.....

No Kidding!! Is it really true that 2 AO members are banned just like that( Ofcourse that GOD thing is a bit too much). I personally believe that this remark was just a sort of humour but still checking whether it was really one!!Quote:

But the point is that even if they did make a wrong post and many other users did neg them for it but still if they r banned because of this, then the Antipoints against them shud be red. Right!!. But in this place, they had the points level of ,say, a senior member.Quote:

Not all bans come from negative ap's If senior members get out of hand JP lets the axe drop and sends them packing.
Lets just say they did some things wrong, and they thought they could hide behind their ap's. Which is wrong.
Even before ther ever was a antipoint system, ppl could be banned.
If you do stuf so bad worth instant bannishment, even after haveing proven your worth, you kinda know how wrong it must have been..
This is good. I mean, now u can be fully sure that even senior members can be reprimanded if they do something wrong and just earning lotz of APs is not an excuse to let loose all ur whims and fancies
well, if uraloony and jehnx are also banned, that makes three, i cant remember who it was but i saw another senior member banned just the other day...i smell a conspiracy...whats JP hiding ;) j/k
if ya read this JP why were they banned exactly? obviously they made a blatent error in judgement but what was it i would like to know, mainly so i dont make it :)

Search through the forums if you guys want to know. Or PM JP himself. But dont ask bullsh*t questions like that in the forums!
they were banned for abusing an in place system, you should have searched the forums this has been discussed before

Like said above search the forums. This thread should be closed. But perhaps it's a chance to say something about those high profile bannings. Like said it's the AO God that decided to ban those people (more than the 3 members you mentioned) I believe it started with FocMaester. A few later FreeOn got banned, and recently a lot of others got banned. Take it this way; first: if they got banned then there was a reason to (you should visit IRC to know more about this stuff). Second: you cannot hide behind ap's.
I must admit, I've wondered too. But I would never have the indecency to ask such a question. If people wanted me to know, they would have told me. Shantz, either do the research yourself or stay out of it. I'm not going to speculate as to why... truth be told, I don't want to know, because it's NOMB. Neither is it any of yours. Most of the problems in this world are caused by people wanting to be important... so stop trying to be important.
To the person that gave me negs for my first post in this thread....neg me on the post that you actually disagreed with. You KNOW it's not this one....at least have the guts to neg the RIGHT post...

Good clue is sort of like that TV show Survivor, where the tribes live as one and the other tribe pissed at the entrance to the cave. Piss on family then your tossed out piss on their home your tossed out. The tribe members know where to pee and why can choose to at any time anywhere, but of respect go to the toilet and don't mess stuff up just cause they can.
