ok, my question is, what type of music are you guys into? me i like lotsa Punk, specially oldschool, and i like metal and techno to, just curiouse.
the pic i found on a site and i cant remember where but enjoy=)
any feed back would be good.
also we got our UNIX accounts in my OSs class today. =) :)

I like almost every good music, but I prefer good loud guitar music. Punk, hard rock , metal.

I looooove my gothic/industrial music
from what ive seen, a large number of goths are into computers/programming/hacking. If you look at pix of the defcon conventions, you can see all manner of goths and pimps. Also one of the lead programmers in the inital release of Mozilla was a gothy guy with a blue mowhawk ;)

Well it looks like i'm pretty alone but i'm into mostly Country with a little soft jazz or classical guitar now and then.
Well I am certainly out of the mainstream here as well. 70's and 80's pop rock, some harder rock. Alan Parsons Project is my favorite group. I like ballad rock as well as many 60's Folk songs and Ballads. On the harder side I do enjoy AC/DC and some other 80's hard rock but not much. I love Base guitar and don't like screaming high pitched guitar. I like songs that have lyrics with a meaning and tend to be drawn to minor 3rds (moody music).
Bluesy rock the kidn The Doors used to make and a maybe a little Rolling Stones. Any band that can play the guitar, and no Im not talking about power chords. Anybody can play in a punk band but maybe thats the beauty of it, me I like my solo's long, screeching and with the kind of tab that makes a newbie player cry.
I have a wide spread taste for music.
I like Country (Clint Black, George Straight. etc)
Rock (Rob Zombie, Limb Bizkit
Linkin Park is cool, especially there new song "Numb"

I HATE Rap! It is neither music, nor singing IMO
I also cannot stand anything that cannot stand on its own two feet in pure audio If you need a video of naked bimbos to sell it, it is for people without branez?

I can't get enough of classical, and techno, but occaisionally, Ill listen to some rock or metal. My favorite group right now though, would probably be Massive attack, some of their songs sound like a mix of techno and classical (radiation ruling the nation comes to mine). Button rocks by the way ^^.

Listen to KMFDM, Lords of Acid and BILE. They mix guitar riffs into awesome techno styled music. Wow, this threads gotten more replys than it ever did when I posted it last year.
Personally I'm ver eclectic in music tastes. I perfer Classic Rock over anything, but mostly I'm into old folk Songs (British/Irish/Scottish/American war songs pre 20th Century) also SOME modern Rock and some Irish Punk. I'm a big fan of Neil Young, bob Dylan, Oasis, and the Beatles

House of the Rising sun is an excellent song plus its pretty easy to play. Old Irish folk music has a pretty good standard too especially as there is a good market for it so folk bands are pretty prevelent.Quote:
