theres a few of our members with the fbi, if thats what your asking
bmwsierra: What do you mean "collecting"? I don't understand your question exactly..
I have been getting emails which claim to spy on peoples systems and also web address which claim to teach you how to get into other peoples computers, providing info data and programs to do it and I don't know where or how to report this info. Abuse@websites never seem to work and having had my system attached , ie. emails going to people I never sent emails to. I am now very upset. This regardless of firewall and updated virus scanners etc.
The FBI did a good job with operation candyman in stopping child porn on the net. However I would be more worried about the NSA then the FBI.Quote:

Well, I would like to welcome you to AntiOnline. AntiOnline will not help you report anybody to any authorities, but will help you better help yourself. As you may know crackers seem to be one step ahead of the game, and this site was designed (in my mind) to help everybody from system administrators to end users better secure their systems in a horribly insecure computing world. Thus the tagline: "Hackers know the weaknesses in your system. Shouldn't you?"

As for your question regarding e-mails, spam can be a real pain in the ass... I would suggest forwarding the e-mails to your ISP so they can take a look at it. Also, NEVER reply to spam. It will just get worse.
I hope this helps, and again, welcome!

Make sure you forward the e-mail as an attachment. The e-mail will contain important header information that the ISP will want. This header info is generally stripped off with a regular forward, but is preserved when forwarded as an attachment.Quote:

Thanks for the info on self protection. I've done all I can think off to keep my system safe but is that all that can be done?
I still would like to know if anybody is collecting information on (or checking out web sites) that PROMOTE cracking, spying or spamming.
Yes, JP used to do that with Eye On The Underground. I wish he still did that. As for other sites doing that, I am not sure. That calls for Google!
thanks alittlebitnumb. In that case I'll keep searching and see what else and whoelse is out there.
Here are a few places to start looking.Quote:

http://dmoz.org/Computers/Internet/Abuse/Spam/ Several sites to report spam abuse
http://dmoz.org/Computers/Security/
http://www.criminology.fsu.edu/cjlinks/killers.html (browse to the computer crime section)
http://www.ccmostwanted.com/index.html A link on this page to report cybercrime or hacking activity agains you.
try reporting it to [email protected]. foward the entire message with no comments or changes
BTW the spam letters that promote this so called form of 'hacking' is nothing but a bunch of companies trying to sell you keylogers. I get them all the time and there is nothing illegal about it as long as you use it in the right manner.
If they just have a bunch of files that tell you how to do things then there ain't much you can do..... 'ever hear of freedom of speach'? And besides most of the time they have warnings and copyrights which say that they are not responsable for what the programs do or what you do with them.
Besides I'd rather go after the peaple stupid enought to abusing the warez then waste time complaining to all of the hosts out there that make the MILLIONS of these sites possable.
However if they have like kiddie porn there then there are sites you can go to or beleave it or not but the police can sometimes even help.
