Evil Administrator
Hey everyone,
:fpissed: On the network that i'm on at school, the administrator is a megalomaniac and has disabled almost everything including being able to change the background to the point of him deleteing the sub-command that enables you to change it through the option on the web
(right click, set as walpaper) so my question is: is there a way to get around it at all?
-
Hey robo3245 may be the administrator disabled those settings to prevent malicious user to change the system settings, and prevent from tampering and distroying some files, but anyway you can still enable those settings back to normal. Try visit this sites, www.winboost.com, http://www.xteq.com,<a rel="nofollow...uides.com</a>, and downloads the tools, this will help you tweaking back the system. Good Luck!
-
The admin may be evil, but he is the admin. It's his network to control, and it could even be the school's policy to be locked down this tight. I can't say that I blame the admin, I do some of the same here. Bottom line is, if you are on a network where you are not the admin, don't try to get around the security - if you are caught, you might be banned from accessing that network, or even some penalty from school. If the measures are in place, leave it alone and just deal with it.
-
Yeah, maverick is right. If s/he knows how to disable this actions then s/he can find you, while disturbing his long sleep with your malicious actions(changing the wallpaper haha...)!!!
-
If you have a big problem, and others (especially teachers and other staff), then maybe you should go to a school board meeting (or a few) and bring this matter up. The only people who can change the policies are those who write them.
If you've read any of my posts on matters like this before you will know I went through stuff like this, and I tried getting around the system. As I was never caught for it, people knew and the word got around to the admin. Who I think had me framed for "doing stuff" on the network so I would be banned from touching the computers. You don't want to be in that sort of position, because it could get REALLY ugly. Find the right political ways of dealing with stuff, who knows maybe you can help yourself and others to come after you. Don't be the criminal, be the hero man, or at least try.
-
as an admin, what makes us "evil" is having to listen to everyone else complain because some child has personalized a publicly accessible computer... The changes may be easy to repair, but it takes time out of our day to come fix a problem that you made because you're not mature enough to use a computer responsibly and abide by the rules that we have setup.
If the rules aren't complied with and our time is spent repairing these "vandalized" pc's the next step might be supervised computer use, or removal of these systems from public access.
Use what's provided or provide your own... and quit screwing up the computers.
ps... I said child, i meant child because an adult is mature enough to respect the rules.
-
Thank you g00n! I too am a admin (elementary though) but the kids still loved to change the background to their stupid Pokemon pictures, and did everything else they possible could do. Teachers complained that they couldn't go and plan trips because of the firewall, my response, "Well, I can alway's ask the superintendant if they want me to free that site up, so that you can plan your summer vacation on the company's dime" Needless to say, I haven't heard a peep about my precautions. I agree with g00n, quit your whining (it only wastes our time and yours) and when you want to screw around, do it somewhere else, on your own computer, geez. Where it's not our responsibility to fix it when you mess around with it!
-
Heh, I can't wait for the day one of user/student at the school I admin posts something like that here! hehe...
BTW, you might think changing the background to some innocent picture should be fine, but I promise you that if we (school admins) were to allow that, it would take less than a week (heck, the first day) for someone to leave inapropriate content (pr0n, hate, whatever) on a desktop just before he leaves. Can you imagine us (school admins) having to report to the principal (or whomever) as of why this was allowed to happen, after parents start calling in in outrage?!

Why do you want to change the background of a computer at school in the first place? My school district's policy doesn't allow you users to change the background, and if you are caught you lose your privileges to use school computers for the rest of the school year.
-
This looks like a job for: THE BASTARD SYS ADMIN FROM MICHIGAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by the way #6 should be started soon so dont worry :) muahahahahahahahahahahahahah
-
Same for my school district. We are not aloud to access the c: drive, the background settings, any of that. They have a special program viewer that is set up which lets us access only specific programs. Plus, that is not your personally computer. The school board isn't funding the district with computers so people can change the background.
-
So all Of you are telling me that not once in your lives have you tried to get around a system just to have some fun?
-
Let's see, if i do get around it and get caught, i can't do any work for my computer apps class (required to graduate). Besides, I'm not on the computers at school enough to bother trying to mess with them.
-
Well why in the first place want to mess with the schools computer, How often do you see tha compputer, like once a week. And everyone probally has a computer at home so why not mess with that. Once i knew this kid in high school who got busted forrr using Netbus on the schools computer. Computers are very valuable, why do you want to mess with the school backround the person whos playing with it didn't pay for it so the person who own's it should have a right to do what they want with it. And say you had one student come to your own house and they messed with your backround every time they came over. Wouldn't it be anoyying.
>Thats just my opinion!
-
So now it's fun to get on a system owned by somebody else and intentionally circumvent the security set up to protect and ease the experience of the next person who has to sit down later and use that same system???... Very interesting... And here I thought schools were for learning.
1. Rules are rules and like it or not, schools have a unique responsibility to ensure that inappropriate content will not be accessed and that their systems are used for educational (and lawful) purposes.
2. Most Admins worth their salt will have set up those systems so that even if some turd-bird was able to change the default setings, they will not be saved and as soon as the system is logged off or restarted, the default settings will be loaded anyway - so what's the point?
3. A decent Admin will be able to track who made what changes and when, and then be able to provide such documentation to the "powers that be" for suspension or expulsion proceedings depending on the severity of the infraction.
Take everybody's advice and use the school system for the reason for which it is provided and personalize your own system at home.
-
C'mon everyone, leave the poor kid alone...I mean, sure he IS being stupid, but I think that he's had enough crap for one day.
A little advice though: School admins have shitty jobs! They have to deal with retarded teachers all day long, who don't know much more than how to open Power School and give me lots of A's. ;) But what I'm trying to say here is, why screw with them even more by trying to circumvent security?
And one last thing: How the hell do you justify changing the wallpaper as "getting around the system to have a little fun?" Using a program written by someone else to accomplish something like this is about the lamest thing possible. I am disgusted with this, as the only somewhat amusing things that could be done here would be to put pr0n or something obscene on a 'puter, but where's the fun in that? Where's the challenge?
-
Robo,
I am sure that we have all at time tried to do what was forbidden from us (I know I have). That is what makes us want to know how things tick, what makes the world go round and so on. But what you asked is how do you get by a restriction that was put there on purpose.
If you want someone to tell you how to do it, you don't want to do it for fun, you want to do it to show you can. If you were doing it for fun, you would figure it out on your own, give a slight grin, then change it back to what it is supposed to be and walk away with a sense of satisfaction and pray you don't get caught.
Everyone here is just letting you know that they are not willing to help you do something that you are not supposed to do. It has nothing to do with them having done, or not done, it before. It has to do with their sense of right and wrong.
I am not a school admin (thank god) but I am an admin for a very large tech conference so I face some of the same concerns. It just makes our jobs a bit more tedious to have to fix something as trivial as a wallpaper. Have some respect for the admin, and let him/her dedicate their time to something more productive.
-
Hey Hey,
I was good friends with my HS comp admin, and was the admin for a set of 6 computers available for public use after school hours. We had the same policies in place, they cause a lot of problems for a lot of people, but everyone has already mentioned that....
I'm writing this message right now on a school laptop, i'm at home, but it's still the schools.. Even tho I pay them $200 a month for the use of it (a college policy), it's not mine. I can do whatever I want on it while at home, the AUP is "Don't damage the hardware" if I kill it they reghost it with my programs image, but when i'm at the school with it the policy changes... No lude or disrespectful backgrounds, no IMs, no games, we do anything like that and we're out of our program. You're only in high school, don't get into the habit of breaking the rules now.. If I break the rules, I lose the laptop, my seat in the program, and the $4000 I've sunk into it.
The penalties may seem minor now, but as you get further in life they get bigger and bigger, get yourself in the habit of doing the right thing now.. because a police investigation, or being fired from your job is not fun.
-
Why not THANK the admin for keeping the network & computers operational (Day after day, week after week........) If you arrived one day to find the system(s) DOWN because a 'script kiddie' screwed with it..........what would you say ? (Yep.....Hey ADMIN.....fix this thing !!!)
Thankless job; but someone has to keep the systems operational.
-
Hey whoever you are who wants to know how to make sys admin a nut case. I can tell a trick and no system adm can prevent you using that, in the matter of fact they would not even know who did it from which computer because all of these sys adm are sucks and all they do is pose as pros but they are all stupid learned about computers out of text books. And yes all of you people you can negg me if you want but I am proud what I do and still couldn't get any hand on me. let me just discuss little about some members here. Well how would I start let's see ,,umm yes. A lot of people here are just lamers and wanna be kids who just stay on the main page of AO and search google for some good links posted by some other lamers about security. SECURITY MY FOOT....... LET ME TELL YOU GUYS IF YOU THINK THAT ANYTHING IS GOING TO MAKE YOU SECURE IF YU ARE ONLINE THEN YOU ARE SUCH A FAT MORAN AND STUPID WHO SPEND HUNDREDS OF DOLLERS TO GET THEIR SYSTEM SECURE OR SEARCH LAME ASS SEARCH ENGINES FOR FREE FIREWALLS OR SOME LAMERS TOOLZ TO CHANGE THE APPEARANCE OF THEIR DESKTOP OR TO CRACK SOMEONE'S PASSWORD. THATS KIND OF MOST MEMBERS ARE HERE WHO DOESNOPT KNOW ANYTHING BETTER. ALL THEY DO SEARCH ON THE INTERNET AND POST THE THREAD HERE TO GET SOME POINTS SO THAT GREEN LINE OF BALLZ CAN MAKE YOU THINK THAT PERSON IS U83Rh/\><0R. BUT IN REAL IF YOU CHECK THEIR POSTS RO TEIR MEMBERSHIP DATES THEY ARE HERE FROM LAST COUPLE OF YEARS AND ALL THEY DO JUST KISS ASS OF OTHER SENIOR FOOLZ AND DISCUSS ABOUT WHAT KIND OF MUSIC SOMEONE LIKE I MEAN........ CUMMOOOOOOOONNNN , ALREADY.
NOW HERE IS THE SOLUTION OF YOUR QUESTION
FIRST OF ALL I DONT KNOW WHICH OS VERSION YOUR LAME ADM IS USING. LETS GUESS MAY BE HE IS USING THAT OLD WIN 98 CUZ LOT OF SCOOLS CAN'T AFFORD XP BECAUSE OF MASSIVE BUDGET CUTZ IN THE SCHOOLZ. OR I WOULD GUESS HE IS USING NT , 2000 DOES NOT MATTER WHAT EVER HE IS USING. LET ME GO BACK A LITTLE BECAUSE i DON'T EVEN KNOW THAT IF YU HAVE ANY PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE OR NOT MAY BE NOT. IT IS OKEY IF YOU DON'T THEN YOU HAVE TO BE DOWNLOAD SOME TOOLZ ON YOUR CDROM BECAUSE MOST OF THESE COMPUTERS COMES WITH CDROM BOOTABLE SYSTEM OR IF YOU COULD CHANGE IT FROM A DRIVE THAT WOULD BE NICE TOO. OK NOW OCME TO THE POINT FIRST OF ALL YOU HAVE TO ENTER TO SYSTEM BIOS AND CHANGE IT TO BOOT FROM A.
YOU WILL ALSO NEED A WINDOWS BOOT DISK WHAT EVA THE VERSION YOUR SYS ADM IS RUNNIG AND THEN SINCE I AM ASSUMING THAT YOU DONT HAVE ANY PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE DOWNLOAD EDITDOTCOM NOW APPLY LITTLE MIND HERE ON THIS NAME I JUST MENTIONED YOU HAVE TO SEARCH IT AND YOU CAN SEARCH IT ANY WAYRE OVA THE INTERNE. WHEN YOU FIND IT DOWNLOAD IT ON YUR FLOPPY DISK AND PUT THAT FLOPPY BACK IN COMPUTER'S A DRIVE AND THEN REBOOT IT SO NOW REMEMBER YOU ALREADY CHANGED THE CONFIGURATIONS OF BIOS BY PRESSING F2 OR EDIT KEY WHILE YOUR COMPUTER RESTART. NOW IT SHOULD START FROM A DRIVE ,,,,,,, NOW LAUGH HEHEHEHE. YOUR COMPUTER IS GOING TO TAKE ABOUT A MINUTE TO COME TO A POINT WHERE YOU CAN OPEN UP THE FILE YOU DOWNLOADED FROM WEB WHICH IS EDITDOTCOM.
In Edit.com, go to open, then search in C:\Windows and find WIN.INI.
Open it.
Scroll down through the WIN.INI file and find a section that starts
off:
[Foolproof]. Delete that entire section. This is the code that makes
Foolproof open
every time you boot windows. By deleting it, you are preventing
Foolproof from opening.
MAKE SURE TO SAVE THE WIN.INI FILE BEFORE EXITING!
From here you are free to do whatever you want in Windows. I
suggest going into C:
and locating Unfool.exe. It is Foolproof's uninstall program.
I APPRICIATE YOUR GUTZ ATLEAST YU HAVE SOMETHING IN YOU THAT CRAWLS IN YOUR TUMMY AND MAKE YOU CURIOUS TO ASK QUESTIONS LIKE THAT AND I AM GLAD YOU DIDN'T CHOOSE TO KISS ASSES LIKE SOME OTHER MEMBERS DO HERE.
BUT TAKE MY ADVICE DON'T DO THAT BECAUSE YOU ARE IN SCHOOL AND YOU HAVE A LOT OF LIFE AT FRONT OF YOU BECAUSE IF YOU ARE GOING TO OVER RIDE SYS ADM ASS, TAKE IT FOR GRANTED THAT HIS LAME ASS EGO IS NOT GOING TO LIKE IT BECAUSE HE THINKZ HE IS KOOL CUZ HE IS SYS ADM AND TO MAKE HIM LOOK GOOD HE IS GOING TO KICK YAAR BOOTY REALLY HARD. YOU COULD GET INTO BIG TROUBLE BUDY. JUST TRY TO READ ABOUT COMPUTERS AS MUCH AS YOU CAN AND YOU WILL ACHIVE AND DON'T WORRY IF YU GETS BAN HERE JUST BECAUSE YOU JUST DIDN'T READ FAQ,SS AND ACCIDENTLY ASK A QUESTION YOU SHOULDN'T ASK. YOU BET YOU ARE GOING TO GET NEGG TO DEATH BY SOME LAMERZ WHO THINKS THAT THEY BORN WITH AN C PROGRAMMING IN THEIR ASS AND TCP/IP BLACKBOOKS INTO THEIR HANDZ. DON'T WORRY ABOUT THEIR REMARKS AND FOLLOW YOUR SPIRIT YOU WILL FIND THE WAY.
I THINK THIS IS MY LAST POST HERE AND I CAN EVEN SEE FLAME MAIL OH HERE IT IS COMEZ.

LOL owls, you never learn do you? You still have not even understood what AO is about. You have absolutely no idea what an admin is all about or what his job is. But please, tell me one thing. What do you know about? I will not even to go into detail quoting your statements and giving out answers, heck, even this reply here is a waste of bandwidth. I rest my case.

I sold systems to a few schools and i always insist that i install a reborn card, its a genious solution.. it grants FULL access to the local mashine, ofcourse the network server / public shares should be configured correct but with the reborn card, students can change the background pict, install all the programs they want, even delete important system files..
Just reboot the system and its back to normal. :)
Gotta love reborn cards.. mmmm

Ha!, You're funny.
Let me tell you why this wouldn't work on any box even an half-assed admin set up:
1- Boot only from HD
2- Password BIOS
3- Using NTFS on NT, 2K, XP will prevent the "hack" as is. At minimum it would require some more work.
You see, any admin not preventing from booting from floppy or cd is just running asking for people like you to screw things up. But this is such BASIC precautions, I anyone not restricting this doesn't even deserve to be called an admin. Now, when we do do our job right, by configuring like this, kiddies like you say we're "evil" and "megalomaniac". Oh well, you're still not messing up my desktops.

for what the hell you want to change wallpapers
-
The thing is though, half the admins in the schools around my area don't know the basic stuff like that. Hell the district admin to the HS I went to failed 30% of his networking classes, and I don't think actually ever graduated. He got the job because he "knew people" that got him in. He took a perfectly working network structure and screwed it all up. So I can understand how there might be a lot of computers out there with no BIOS passwords, which is all you need to hackin.
-
The admins at my school are either are really lazy or are complete idiots. The teachers complain about people swapping files, and yet the admins still dont' know how to fix it. All they have to do is disable file sharing, but they don't. The admins disable pointless stuff like, clock, cmd, mspaint, control panel, run, regedit.... But yet, command.com is still usable, along with regedt32 and taskmanager(lets you run apps). It makes me sick that me being only 17 know more then the admins that actually have a fairly high paying job. *PUTS FLAME SUIT ON* So what better way to make these guys learn? Force them to! From computer management i can make an account and add it under the power user group. I can also still edit the registry, obtain sam in the unrestricted repair dir, dump the hashs, etc. So by changing there password I forced them to figure out what I did, and so they finally fixed some of the HUGE vulnerabilities.
You guys may think I"m lame. But I think some admins dont' know enough what there doing to run a secure computer lab. So sometimes they may need a little help.
And yes I could tell them the vulnerabilities, but they see that I"m just a kid, and wont listen.

There are a lot of good answers (though some souind more like a complaint back @ Robo). I agree that one should leave others' stuff alone. I do. I am here to learn to ruin. It's reasons like that of Robo wanting to "change things" that gives security people a bad name (as it is pointed out that most security-type comp users were at one time a hacker).
-
I can understand that...
Indeed I'd be pissed too in that situation.
My main argument is about kids who say admins are evil when they do their job right, or those who say *ALL* school admins suck and claim they can "hack" *any* school computer. Granted a good deal of them (school admins) do suck. That's the unfortunate thing. But good admins require good salaries, and most schools don't recognize that or simply can't afford them... BUT there are some of us who do our job right.

I have to append a statement I made (I didn't proofread) I mentioned..."i came to learn to ruin.." it should have said ..."I came here to learn, not to ruin..."
-
Well lots of people made great points. But one thing I am a kid and i understand admins. I do not like my admin, we all don't like them because they have to set rules. Admins are just doing what they have to, i don't mine because he sets rules that are kinda stupid, were not even aloud to talk at lunch. Admins try to get the kids to like them, but the bad part is if they get in trouble they go to him, he has to get us in trouble because that are the rules. I do not think they are evil, but we all have to abide by rules and we will throghout our whole life. So i do not blame my admin because he's doing his job. If anyone put yourself in his shoes, would you like to get your friends in trouble. I know this because I see him a lot in his office (bad thing) lol. So yes sometimes there rules are kinda dumb, but we just have to live with it.

robo 3245 aren't you glad that you are part of this board. So much to learn so many good professionals volunteering their services. Some are bad I am sure like owls don't follow his/her advice. I am so proud to be AntiOnliner.
Ok owls that was lame, If you are reading this and I am sure you will, I think ammo and instronics gave you the right answer, you really don't know what is admin is all about.
robo try not to put anything stupid here like how to hack or how to crack into someone's webmail. It is really not worth. Try to act like responsible person and don't mess with your school computer they are their for you so you can do your homework and get all benefits of the softwares installed in the computer. Why screw it up? Try to be a better person.
-
Actually to append Killerbots, rules were made b/c somebody done/did something that they weren't supposed to do but there was no "rule/clause" to say they coukldn't and b/c some people are not intelligent enough to know the difference
-
Do you know how many times kids JUST LIKE YOU get nailed for doing just that? As many many here have said, tis for a reason. and until YOU are the admin who has to deal with the kids constantly trying to ger around the security, then knock it off. A admin is a BUSY person, and personally nothing fustrated me more than a kid who set out deliberately and purposely TRYING To fight the admins security.
-
the techie that looks after it is an ex student he has no qualifications as a teacher or any in I.T so he constantly makes stupid polices and because he wasn't liked by the other students in his grade he has learned to be mean and obnoxious to all students. And if he ever has a problem with the network he comes to me and pretends to be my friend to get me to help him.
and when he actually gets something right he goes and boasts to any one who will listen. this is why he and only him is evil and a megalomaniac. and i get the same problem as br_fusion so this is an unexperienced 20 year old dweeb runing the schools network, who wont take suggestions from anyone else.
so you see my frustration
-
Yeah , I think admin can do every thing he want
-
I Go to the same school as Robo, and we so far have done this to the network and annyoyed the administrator as such:
Last year, we created a Hacking Group Called ŦĕͬŋŐ Ħ, and we managed to:
-Put javascript tetris on the school web
-put about 10-15 other games on the school web
-Gave the studets e-mail control
-Made blatant fun of the system admin
-Oddly, we also got in trouble for useing the e-mail adress "Churba@sys****.com"
-we nearly had internet controll too, but they got us before we got it.
and this year we have
-regained E-mail controll
-gained internet controll
-still have all the javascript games on our homedrives
Also, the sysadmin disabled my e-mail at school for sending a javascript that crashed Josh's and Ben's computer
I then from my home adress sent him the same thing, disgused as tetris so that when you pushed the start button, it crashed your comp. His comp controlls the whole network, so when it went down, Ka-boom! I was somewhat less popular in the tech room after that.
And if I missed any, I'm sure Robo will correct me.
and also,Unfortunately, it seems he can do whatever he wants...........
untill me and Robo come-a-Calling!
-
I don't know what to say... . I will just sleep as i can't suffer any more from your bulshit Churba.
-
robo and churba -
obviously you have some talent here. Why not either help this admin out or at least draft up what you have seen and submit it to the admin and his/her boss? i would hate to see something happen to you both for the sake of proving you have talent and can shame someone. that's easy. let's see if you can improve what is going on there and maybe then robo can change the background without having all this other bs.
good luck.
-
I greatly agree with vescovono on this. I mean everyone has their "badass" times, but you two (Churba and robo3245) have to get over that frame of mind as you get older. Be an adult and grow up and see that what you are doing isn't a game between you guys and the admin/staff of your school. There are many laws that are being broke here, and you need to understand the major problem with that and the possible outcome if you guys get caught. Playing with computers is fun right, you enjoy doing it? Then don't screw up and do these kiddy little hacks. Yes you have talent, but what you are doing is just exactly as you said... an annoyance. You are not doing anything constructive, you are taking time away from the admins doing other things, to sit and fix what you guys "screwed" up.
Think of it this way. What if one of us was your school admin, you would be in trouble. You pretty much just admitted to what you have done, and if your school's admin saw this s/he might be able to catch you in the act of further things or maybe even have you charged with what you've done just but admitting to it here and tracing the transmittion sent to AO from your house (ok I'm on a long shot here, but if someone took the time to look through the logs...). Anyway, so then what you are charged with XXXX crimes for XXXX and now you can't play on the computer anymore. Then what, being banned from using a computer, you probably would have to get a janitorial job somewhere that never heard of a computer. Shiz, you can't even work at Micky D's anymore because they have computers as registeres, plus some places are working on that wireless Internet idea.
And it just goes on, you are getting my drift right? I don't mean to sound like a rain on your paraid or anything, believe me I know how it is. But I also had problems and came very close to that happening to me. I'm only 20 now, and I was only 17 then. If I would have lost my "computer rights", I wouldn't have the job or know how or anything I do now. Where would I be? Not typing to you right now, not having a nice comfortable job playing with computers, or all the nice equipment I have at home.
Now sure maybe I'm getting a little extreme here, but I just remember when I thought like you did. My admin and I had MAJOR problems seeing eye to eye about lots of things. He was new half way through my school year and went around and changed all the rules and how things worked. But in the end I saw that he had the right, sure I stomped off school grounds pissed off because I couldn't hook my laptop up to the network to surf the web, and such, but I knew that it was his stuff and I had to follow the rules. Because it's either that or you start doing that where you work, at home, and you think it's more of a game than anything. Even if you don't know, if you keep "getting away" with this stuff without any real punishment by the law, you won't be expecting the harsh punishment to come.
Just word of advice, trying to pass on some hard lessons. Maybe I'm wrong, but maybe I'm right... which is scarier to think about?
-
how the hell does that work? you two are such geniuses that you can take control of the school's website (i think that's what you said, your poor grammar and spelling make it hard to tell) yet you are incapable of changing the wallpaper on a school computer? wow, i find that hard to believe...if you really are this smart, why do you even bother? and btw, there winapi has a system call that will allow you to change the wallpaper (which, of course, i don't remember :D ), or you can change the corresponding registry key. are you happy now? it's that simple...so go fire up your compiler, if you know what that is, and get to ruining your admin's day.
the reg key to change is HKEY_CURRENT_USER\CONTROL PANEL\DESKTOP\CONVERTED WALLPAPER
i think that's right, i didn't exactly put a lot of work into it...
just change it to C:\My Documents\iamalittleretartd.jpg and create a picture of yourself being impaled in a stick with the corresponding name.
btw: sorry to everyone who i might anger with this post, but i'm really tired of seeing this thread. Eww, I'm going to get negged i think :P
