Please help on Popups
Popups these days are too irritating. One popup is leading to many....
My problem is
When a page cannot be displayed in IE (iam using IE6) it will show 404 error.. but this page was replaced with some bad webpage. When i try to close that page it is giving some 10 popups. I tried by removing temp internet folders and cookies.
Please suggest me how to handle this situation

Disable active scripting in IE, then go get mozilla --> www.mozilla.org and disable them for good. ;)

you can use a popup blocker there are plenty out there sharewares and freeware just google it or you can install a program like zone alarm that besides help you with the popups is a firewall software. and if you are trying to clean cookies and things like that you can try Ad-aware from lavasoft www.lavasoft.com i think.

Just searhc www.download.com or www.google.com for freeware or shareware pop-up blockers. There are *tons* available.

Just my personal opinion here, but switching from IE to Mozilla is like switching from a Chevette to a Corvette. I'll NEVER go back to IE.

Mozilla is awesome. Plus you can open tabbed windows in the background for the AO posts you want to read. It is very efficient.
