well there are many more....i prefer phpbb which is found at www.phpbb.com well u need ms sql or ms access on ur webserver to use it...
phpnuke can also be used www.phpnuke.com or else better go off for a free one like ezboards www.ezboard.com well but it pus huge ads but www.phpbb.com is toooo good with a small add ...
Ikonboard (www.ikonboard.com) is a pretty good BB.

However, if you really want phpBB on your server and have read the documentation and searched for a solution, why don't you start a thread in this forum? I'm sure someone on AO could help you find a solution.
oooooooooooooo installing phpBB2! a very fond subject of mine!!!! Took me 2 days to get mine installed with the help of several online helpers and 3 or 4 web buffs from my office :) It seems fairly stable, but the moer I look at vBulletin the more I start wondering where I can find $160 from... Me waaaaaaaaant!!!!!!!!
Oh NorthernLytes I can easily help you install the basic phpBB2, but it's the addons that are... hmmm flakey :) Or sometimes shouldn't be installed with other mods and so on, not to mention the sheer time it takes!!!!!
