This has been posted, but i have not seen the one you have provided here before.
There are others at:
Grc --> http://grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2
And at Sygate --> http://scan.sygate.com
Sygate is the most comprehensive i've seen thus far though. :cool:
I didn't see this one posted previously so, here it is. This one is an internal tester that attempts to connect out.
You can find the 101 here.
Yeah dopey, there is also something very similar called Leaktest which can be found over at Grc aswell.
Leaktest --> http://grc.com/lt/leaktest.htm
How about www.dslreports.com/tools? Just the most notable ports can be scanned or the whole enchilada. Your choice.
They give a fairly complete security scanner, although I've been able to fool it. ;)
Here is a excellent web site for security scan's on ones firewall.
http://www.pcflank.com/ :)
It will only be fare if I add some :). Woohooo no leaks :thumbsup:.
Sorry if there are some listed up there.

Thanks for the sites......I passed all the tests. Question: I'm new to Linux (Mandrake 9.1) Is there a program or a utility I can run to watch portscans in real time against my system? In Windows I run Zonealarm Pro.
Thanks.
Hell I'd like to watch all of my network trafic in real time..........
I know that this is probably a stupid post, I know this was probably covered 100 times...........I'm new, .......I'm sorry........please forgive me.........
Want a firewall tester? Ive got one thats better than all of yours combined-
Simply connect to several IRC networks, and paste the following into a channel full of script kiddies;
"MY IP IS <ip> U GUYZ R LAME U CANT EVEN TEH 1337 SPEAK"
There is a 50/50 chance that either
a) your firewall will be tested by a multitude of scirpt kiddies or
b) they will mistake you as one of their own and make you an op
have fun :D
Ha, ha, ha ...
yeah Abtronic that's the best method ever to know about ur defense...
Are online firewall testers really valuable? It's hard to know their field of testing (I mean precisely! which ports, which proto, ...)
I'd rather go for an open source tool that I can fully control...
one of the best free tools ......... Abtronic
Glad you like the idea :)
Networker; As you mentioned, i also like to know the specifics of whats vulnerable on my system and what isnt. An open source tool (well, anything being directed at that moment by a human being) in my opinion is better than an automated system -- Have you got any real-life computer savvy friends who know what they are doing when it comes to security? If so, you could always get them to penetrate test your machine/network. The other alternative i suppose would be to 'attack' the computer in question over a LAN, although i myself havnt tried this.
