Problem with a member?

Hey everyone,

Seeing as people are starting to get a little heated with each other, I was thinking maybe we do need to make another 86 post thread? My thinking is if people are having problems, and are going to bring their problems public... well maybe we should try to keep it out of random threads, maybe it needs to be more centralized.

I'm not trying to say there are a ton of problems going on in the AO world, but it does seem like there are a few members out there not making friends to easily. Plus if people are going to be posting about their problems, let us try to keep it out of random threads and bring it here. Then all of us can see and comment and maybe actually resolve some issues that are being raised?

ok i just want to know if TheFiend has specific people he negs because ....d00dz told me he negged him twice a week without any good reason and i think (may be wrong ) on of the reasons was "just die dude" or something like that but may not be from thefiend ....we'll see when d00dz attackin comes online ..... so this is just a question to the Fiend ..

other then that i dont have any problem with TheFiend, or any other member of AO .. we all family here :) ....

Update...

As of right now I guess I kind of feel in lead of this thread. So I will let you know what's going on.

With Memory's post I PMed D00dz and asked if he would check out Memory's post and get back to us. I also have PMed punchthebaby and asked if they would also like to comment here so we can get some feed back from the other side.

And as for me, I'm taking the evening off now to go get a washer and dryer that is about 100 miles from my place, so I won't get back to this until tomorrow. But will get up-to-date ASAP. Also I would like to thank Jag for his comments, I do what I can for my AO friends. We are a community, and like I said, I felt this is something that is needed to keep peace and order. I just hope it helps more than hurts. And I think the mods will keep it open (or move it somewhere better) until it becomes more of a "**** talking" type of place.

Still it would be nice to hear from TheFiend on the matter(s) at hand. It's not really going to get us anywhere if we have problems and one side presents without the other. But I guess some things will have to be left unsaid, sorry Jag.

Ok, I do need to make a statement.

Lots of you know that I USED too let a couple of my friends use my computer to check mail and stuff like that. The more tech savvy ones I told about AO and they joined with the idea we wouldnt tell each other our AO names so that there wasnt any "here have greenies because I know you" bullshit and also no "ok you forgot to pick me up heres a neg" or whatever kinda **** that two people who know each other in real life would pull. Well all was fine. When someone came over Id let them use the computer and theyd check there mail and usually when one wanted to check out AO or make a post; The rest would go smoke or run to the store depending on what we were going to do the rest of the night. I havnt had a couple friends over in a long time but once in a while people still come over. Anyway, one day I was looking threw the logs on my Linux box and I seen one of my more deviouse friends had been messing around in **** that would get someone elses' arm broken. So I ask him and hes like "its only the net, its not like anyone will care." Before this if you could find the right browser to open it had my AO account saved on it and would log in as me. Well I didnt think they would fiure out which browser with the 30 million on here but one did. (of course this got changed the next day.) Well normally this wouldnt be bad except I started getting PMs from people saying "why did you neg me on this post?" And I would have no idea what the **** they were talking about. I asked them to send me posts where i had negged them and sure enough, it said I couldnt give APs to the same post twice. I was kinda shocked but mostly pissed and I asked about it and the same lil deviouse basard said "oh yea, I was bored so I negged a buncha people" Well after he was conciouse again I explained in a non friendly way that its not right. He said he did it because he wanted to test something and said that everyone here acts like they dont care about APs but as soon as they get one thats red they have a fit. I still didnt think it was right. He said he would neg random people that made one liner posts and then hed use my account to get a few people too. Well obviously I dont go for that and told him he wuldnt be using this computer or his account anymore and went threw my computer and found his name. He had saved his name on one of the browsers like I did even though he wasnt supposed too and I found his account. He pointed out to me that it wasnt just HIM that was doing this and I saw that doodz attackin had negged him alot. There were 4 blank negs from doodz attackin on random posts. Now normally I wouldv just told my old friend that he wouldnt be using this computer anymore but he also had been using my account to neg people so he got a nice little beating into the gore got pissed at you mob. So too Memory, I think I know why yougot negged; One, you had been doing it also, and two, hes an ******* with no computer anymore (he HAD one but after this it seems to have stopped working. I wonder why) And anyway. thats right, Fiend will NOT be here anymore because he abused access i gave him from my box. I let him use it once more to change his profile around but Im not sure exactly when he changed it. It was sometime in the last few days or so. But anyway. Just thought id clear this up. The other people that come over now have stricter rules. If they wanna come here they have to first show me the last 10 APs they gave with there name covered up. (I dont really care what it is but Id rather not know) and then they have to make sure they ae actualy signed out. I just hope this doesnt happen again because they do like coming here but they wont be doing it if they abuse. Anyway now that this is cleared up doodz can shut up since I saw with my wn eyes that he wasnt all innocent with this abuse **** and neither was memory since both of you and framework had been negging his account. (its one thing to neg someone for being a jack ass but when I saw the last 10 Points he recieved were all from those three people its a little shitty) Im Sure as hell not going to retaliate though because in a way after what he did he ****in deserved it anyway. **** if you wanna go ban the account, not like hes coming back anyway. unless he buys a new HD, some memory....a whole new computer. (I dont think you can fix a MBR virus, a HD format and explosives strapped into a MOBO :) ) I had to use my M-80s too... oh well it was fun. THE BOFH GORE DESTROYS THE LAMERS. lol. Anyway guys I think this is long enough. And also, yes, this is settled, hes not aloud near a computer anymore....not like that broken arm, fractured hand and bruised rib would allow him to type anyway ;)

Oh yea. To the people that were negging him calling him me:

I think this thread had good intentions but it seems to me it's a whole bunch of "OMG, he negged me and it's just so wrong."

Why do you need to talk to The|Specialist concerning the fact that he signed other people's names to negs? He wasn't the first person, and he actually answered that question back when names where implemented on the AP's. So does it really matter now?

Next off, I'm really tired of people defending d00dz. There's a deeper serious issue there and I think it has a lot to do with taking the internet and a website rating system far too seriously.

And Gore, that's the worst most pathetic story I've ever heard besides d00dz offering senior member blow jobs for greenies.

Ooooh, the many many mistakes that I made when developing the AntiPoints System.

The problem was clear:
I needed a way to automate the process of moderating thousands of posts.

The solution seemed sound:
Let the community moderate itself.

The implimentation was flawed:
The system relies on an altrusitic approach that requires individuals to examine content for content's sake, without taking into consideration who posted it.

The result is clear:
An ego-driven popularity contest riddled with lies, cheating, and other forms of deception, all to assist in the conquest of the green dots. Jupiter Media didn't help matters any either, when they took away the anonymity factor (What on earth was going on in their heads is above and beyond me.)

Oh well. I learned a lot from that development process, and the results that it achieved. The new system that I created, dubbed "Neighborhood Watch", took all of those lessons into consideration. The result of which, I believe, will be a lack of necessity for threads such as this one.

I would suggest that the current operators of AntiOnline take a look at the AntiPoints System, and its current effects on this community, and realize that it needs to evolve as well.

Look I told the guy about how his idea was kinda flawed & it kinda sounded like he only knew one third of what he was talking about so I kinda posted it all in rude way. Pluse the other guy was asking about logic bombs and the whole thread was kinda lame.
