There have been rumors about that for years... people have pointed out shadowing errors in photographs, and tons of other stuff...

WOW.....after reading that, I don't think I believe it either. Nice link Plastik.

I don't think they are fake I don't understand why they would bring this up any way this was done in the 60's. It's history it done and over with
If they are fake(wich I think they are) and thus the U.S. lied about their landing on the moon the did it because they wanted to win the race to the moon between them and Russia. Russia already had the first man in space, it was impossible for the Americans to loose the race to the moon.
I think you should of voted communist on the poll I posted el-half.
hahaha... I, personally, believe we landed on the moon... but I still find the "hoax" stories and everything VERY intriguing.
I'm not pro-Russia or pro-U.S but that webpage gives me doubts about it. The USA had to win that race. If they lost the race, their economic situation would have gotten worse because people wouldn't be motivated anymore to work very hard.
I dont know what to believe anymore.Especially with governments, with so many lies being said ,even with the recent war.Wont be surprised if they lied then!!!

Before you guys decide to fall face first into the conspiracy theory syndrome, consider looking into the oposing arguments. :) http://badastronomy.com/bad/tv/foxapollo.html

The mentally disturbed are persecuted here in America, and I say rightfully so!
These people are NUTS!
In order for such a conspiracy to succeed, everyone would have to be in
on it, even the Russians.

According to Occam's Razor, in any equation, the simplest answer tends to be the right one. Whats would be easier, NASA to land on the moon in the sixties or for them to film it in a wharehouse and tell people it's coming from space? I really don't know what I think but Occam's Razor tells me that we probably didn't land on the moon.

I was thinking that the maintainance of a cover-up would require
the continued cooperation of too many people, many of whom would
have strong incentive to reveal evidence that would destroy the lie.
After all, government has lied many times on many matters, and a lot
of us would welcome any genuine evidence that would embarass
them.
So, if the evidence existed, it would have been revealed by now.
Some times the simplest explanation is that sometimes the
government actually tells the truth
I agree......sometimes my skepticism overruns me :)
Considering the amount of people taht would have to be in on the consperacy, and the sheer amount of junk that we would have to get t othe moon in just the right place (to fool the amatures with high powered telescopes. I am thinking the Razor cuts both ways.Quote:

I think too many people saw Capricorn One back in the 70's. :D
We landed unmanned probes on Mars back in the 1970's they seem more technical to do than landing a man on the moon a few years earlier. The technology was there, the funding was there and so was the drive and support of the American People, Gongress, the Scientific community and especially the President. I think there is more of a motivation for some groups to disprove the fact than there is motivation for a government and thousands of people involved to keep it secret.
Hell we can't even keep our most important and secret programs "secret".
You have to admit the argument that the US didnt land on the moon is quite good. Even after reading both sides of the story you still wonder about it all. The US had to win the race to be the first to be on the moon as losing to the russians again after losing the race to put a man in space was already bad enough.
But I have to admit it would be a damn good hoax if they really didnt put someone on the moon. They would have been a leak by now.
Anyway, I heard that the Japanese are gonna send an explorer soon to circle the moon. when that happens, we should get a confirmation if it was real or just a hoax.
If you want conformation go down to a decent observitory and ask to see the moon junk, if its the right time of the year they can show you the landing crator
And WTF is up with the Japanese? They are have a Mars probe too. Good on them. :)
