Dicionary.com hacked ?

I wonder if anyone could clear something up for me.Seeing this whole p2p war is going on with the riaa i thought i would just download some mp3's using kazaa lite then re-install windows just to makesure kazaa lite dident give me adware.Now this is the strange thing i decided to go to dicionary.com to look up a word and im greeted with loads of porno pop ups,but this only happeneds when i visit dicionary.com.I am using the mozilla browser with winxp HE.Could neone test this for me as this is the only comp i got.I notice that sometimes if i visit dicionary.com in a window thats already open sometimes it done work,so can someone open a new browser window and see if this happens for you?,i dont want to sound stupid as i prob have adware i just scanned with the adware prog from lavasoft and it found nothing,so could someone please test this ? thanx

turn on popupblocking under edit--> preferences --> privacy and security and if it doesn't help check out what i posted in the "porno woes" thread on the front page right now.

I hate to say this , but it happens i guess. But i think you misspelled the URL. I visited www.dictionary.com which is the site that im assuming you meant to visit seeing as though you want to look up a word. But you spelled it as dicionary.com without the 't'. When i visited that url i was greeted with porno pop-ups and such. Sometimes it only takes one misspell to be beating your head against the wall for hours , heh it happens though ;)

Ok,i see what ur saying... But at the time i posted it the time here was 4:40am in the morning and also i have been sat at the comp for 26 hours so far and its really hot here.So give me a break...

Jag posted a thread with his Username and PW, but greekgoddes changed to PW so noone could abuse the AP system. So now without an account jag is forced to get a new one to "go out with a bang"

For someone who tries to act cool, you sure are stupid.. banning an IP isn't that easy.. there dynamic and static IPs... people share IPs... banning one IP could/would result in other bannings...

Doesnt Mozilla have a bug that throws pop up ads stored in the cache on random sites. The porn was already there from sites previously visited im sure. :rolleyes:

sometimes it's just a case of someone using your computer and going to tjose sites i used to let others use my comp in the living room til one day i came back to porn sites on that comp and hrs and hrs of work thank goodness i had other comps:) so i think it was a good post ;) especially after all the hrs i spent for days fixing my issue thanks to someone elses comp habits i was watching porn
