keep reading posts like this and can't help
Seriously though, you have to provide more details than that if you even hope to get a response that will help you out.
What OS?
What is happening?
When did it start?
Why do you think you are being remote controlled?
etc.

Have you remembered to pay your ISP?
:fu:
YOur statsu box says your offline because when you registered with this site you you checked a box that allows other members not to know if your online or not.
Still need a little more info from you.
What OS?
Do you have weather bug installed?
I am probably being very boring.......................download AdAware6 update and run it. Download SpyBot Search & Destroy, update and run it.........get the trial version of BugPatrol (I think that is on the ZoneAlarm site?) and run it.
All I am suggesting is that you level the playing field first?
Good luck!
.....can you please provide more detail on how you're being remotely controlled? What's going on in your comp?
I'm not sure if I'm reading this right... but do you mean that you are recieving reboot requests?Quote:

If so... patch your machine. The RPC DCOM msblaster worm is still in the wild and will cause this if you are not patched. You may also want to update the rules in your firewall to block ports 135 (RPC) along with any others like 137, 139, yada yada yada. Disallow everything and then allow only when you know it is safe.
If you mean you keep getting disconnected from AOhell... welcome to the club. I had AOhell for a total of 2 weeks. I could never stay online. They gave me AOhell for free for one year when I purchased a new pc... I killed the service less than two weeks later and paid for a better service.
phishphreak you lasted 2 weeks oO
while waiting to get broadband modem delivered and line set up for adsl i decided to get a cheap 56k internal and one fo those free 100hrs CDS (or whatever many hrs it was) from AOL - lasted 1 day - lol got completly fed up and moved to a pay per-minute ISP until broadband was ready.....cost me £50 in phone charges but was better than leaving AOL trying to dial-up for 45mins just to get online :)

well friend .... another scenario which i came across........ after getting in a PC using RPC/DCOM...the person installed a keylogger and Remote Controlling S/W and i am not talking about Trojans..it was RAdmin....very clever guy..changed the ICON...put in all registry settings...so in that case virus scans wont help....might be a good personal firewalll...
even then i would suggest you to post ur own port scan........and also the processes running on your PC ...that may enable the AO members to locate the rougue s/w.....u can get the prossess list by going to command prompt and typing
c:>tasklist > a.txt
so now all the processess list is in a.txt...just copy paste the contents....
if u have already cleared off the mess..then u need not post it...
and PLS HAVE A PERSONAL FIREWALL
Hi,
Just had another thought:
http://www.spywareinfo.com look for Hijack This v1.96 by merijn
It shows you what is going on in your box. There are lots of utilities that do this, but this one is a bit different...............it has detected things for me that other (good) software has not :)
Hope this helps
P.S. Phish...... reminds me of my cryptography lessons :D Your paragraph is very long, and does not contain the letter "E"............the most common letter in the English language?
PPS.............................I think I tolerated AOL for about 24 hours :)
V_Ln: I know, I know. I'm ashamed to admit it too... everytime I called them, they assured me the problem was on my end. According to them, they never get complaints about getting disconnected or having problems getting dialed up. Yeah... right... just like they never have billing problems...Quote:

I canceled my service, and what do you know?! One year later, a charge from AOL telling me my free period was up. I refused to pay it because I had canceled my acct. 2 weeks after I started it and they claimed I had never done so. 12 phone calls later... they finally took it off. The hardest 23.90 I've ever worked for. Only took about 5 hrs on the phone... :(
Anywho... sorry to stray from the subject... just had to voice my discontent for that phucking AOhell.
nihil: You are correct. Damn, you got that pretty quick (took me like 20min). I'm gonna have to put another one up there. I'd give ya some green, but I have to spread. ;)Quote:

hehe....put some pressure on AOL and they'll give you like 6 months for free :)....they gave me first month free, then when i was going to cancel, the new one came out so they gave me another 45 days, then I figured i'd try out their broadband, so there goes another 45 days, then i figured i'd cancel it cuz it sucked then they gave me another 2 months....lol....those pple are desperate for customers. I got sick and tired of it and finally after like 6 months of free internet, i canceled it :).
OK back to the subject: Try running the cleaner, spyware S&D and other tools to clean any junk thats in your comp.
