did you know that kazaa lite is sharing a folder in your windows directory called wTemp32? inside is has many programs that are hidden which in my case total to 62MB. It has cracks, Spybot S&D, winXP stuff and all kinds of other ****. This folder is shared by default on kazaa.

well all those files that were being shared in that folder "85" of them....I never downloaded any of them. I dont know how they got there...make sure you dont have that folder in your comp
I have used Kazaa Lite for a long time, but never heard of such thing before. I search my drive for wTemp32 folder, but return no result. I think your system may be infected with a virus and those hidden programs and files are viruses. Try this website: http://housecall.antivirus.com for a online virus scan. Stop using kazaa lite now to prevent the virus from spreading.

This worm propagates via the Kazaa and the iMesh peer-to-peer file sharing networks. This worm cannot propagate on systems that do not have these file sharing applications installed.
Upon execution, this worm drops a copy of itself in the Windows system folder as the file MS_32.EXE. It then creates a folder named "wtemp32" in the Windows folder and drops copies of itself in the newly created folder using different file names.

Where did you get your copy of Kazaa Lite, is it possible you got a "trojaned" version that has been re-engineered to spread Warz & cracks? You might want to delete and re-install from the official Kazaa Lite web site which I believe is www.kazaalite.tk

As much as I understand you're concerns over security in using file sharing networks such as kazaa, I do not believe that not sharing is a good solution. Not sharing you're files defeats the purpose of a file sharing network. Not sharing files out of fear of virus infection or other security issues is exactly what the RIAA wants. They hope that you will be so afraid of getting a virus that you won't exercise you're rights and hense make their hopeless court battles unnecessary. Also, using a file sharing network such as kazaa to download files and not reciprocating by contributing files on your own computer to the network is selfish and entirely opposed to the spirit in which file sharing networks were created and operate.
If you are really worried about it, I would recomend just not downloading excecutables or files that contain scripting elements. This alleviates the vast majority of problems.

My sugestion, stop useing kazza, and stop leaching my bandwidth. Beyond taht, you are useing a program writen to help yo pirate software and take food off of artist and programmers plates (not the leat of which the company that wrote kazaa origionaly.) and you are suprised when it loads a backdoor on your machine. thats like hanging out with gang banngers and being surprised when they rob you.

That show should be translated into "I'm so stinkin rich I dont know what to do with the money". 2 days ago I bought a CD from evanesence because i like all 11 tracks in that CD. I've bought the Linkin Park CD too for the same reason. I'm not going to waste my hard earned money by buying a CD from an artist who only has like 2 good songs and 12 other bullshit ones. If I download a song, I'm sure the song i'm downloading has been well published and the artist who sings it has plenty of money. If i download a program, I dont see anyone complaining about why I'm downloading Warcraft 3 instead of paying a ridiculous $50 for it.

I may just be spewing crap, but i read somewhere on average that the Artist only gets about a Dollar per CD and that the effect of file sharing on the artist is not quite as big as it is made out to be. But I could careless either way because i prefer to buy the whole CD to show support for the artist.
As for bandwidth issue i read in a magazine that before the p2p software got huge the "internet" was on average about 25% faster. I for one would like to see that increase but
people defend P2P software and internet access like its a right And as far as i know the only place internet acces is a right is in, like, africa(or somewhere) One thing is for sure without P2P software life would be a bit easier on Sys Admins. They would have stupid pple trying to download full length movies at work or school.
downloading full lengths movies i believe is ridiculous too. Also, I download a lot of songs which are not from a specific artist and that cannot be found on CDs, such as Techno, trance etc. The internet was about 25% faster also because there was less users, less advanced games to be played online, less businesses running online and so on.

well u end up finding lots of stuff because lots of lovely viruses/trojans put the crud there,and that wTemp32 folder is made by a virus,which i posted earlier,
its surpising on how many customers i get bringing they pc into the shop and moaning its not working right.and duh they like running DSL/Cable with no firewall/no antivirus and kazza 27/4

Are you trying to move the files or delete em? To delete them, just select the files you want to delete from your "My Shared Files" tab on Kazaa and click the delete button. You can also open "My Shared Folder" and highlight the files you want to delete and press the delete button on your keyboard, hold shift down to permanently delete them or right click on the file and select delete.
To move the files, just cut and paste them to the folder you would like to move them in.

Just to offer some help:
a) to be allowed to delete a Kazaa file anytime, just shutdown Kazaa and delete the file directly on shared folder. All other suggestions here will fail in some circunstances. If file is in use by Kazaa (ie DL it) u cant delete it from Windows, if someone is uploading it, u cant delete it from kazaa console.
b) Besides that Kazaa developer says, Kazaa in all versions "leak" files outside "shared folder". Some features of P2P allow to download and run files without ur permisssions. Other feature "leak" files anyway in ur computer to Internet (or even on remote computers that ur Windows can see, like directory shares). To test it, create a file with a long name, that u couldnt even see on Kazaa network, put a tasty extension on it (like mov, mp3, wav, etc) and store it OUTSIDE of Shared Folders. (like in System32 directory). Leave ur computer with kazaa active at Interner for a week. After that, try to search on Kazaa for that file. U will find it !

To be honest, I did. But it took more than 2 months to appear on Kazaa Search Engine. Perhaps My NIS was blocking some "behavior deviation". But it failed (NIS) on that computer 1 month ive started the test. But i didnt notice (its a computer that i have to do that kind of test). The information about remote shares i ve read on list that discuss exactly like this.
