Well I think it will be nice to have overviews of the mostly used OS's out ther...:D
So you are submit an article on that?? :D
'Lo, it's me, your favorite uber newber. I currently dont have any ideas, but if you want an extra hand writing an or editing or something. I can research stuff pretty well and despite my homework I have plenty of free time.
-It is I, Me-
you could do some stuff on the basics of linux/unix. such as vi, ssh, and the like.
Actually, there are numerous tutorials (a couple by me) in the Tutorials section on basics of Linux/*nix common programs and commands. :D
I am however looking for people to write an article or two! I don't want to be the only one writing for this issue... please. :D
I'd gladly write an article......It's just that I have trouble sometimes coming up with ideas that haven't already been beaten to death on this site. I'll see what I can come up with. :)

I'll submit one or two articles. What is the deadline again?
November 21, 2003. :)
Well I have that older idea that I already told you about, Mittens.
I'd like to contribute, but I'd like a proofreading first. I can't stand sloppy articles, so I'd hate to submit one. PM me or talk to me in IRC(irc.loonyservices.com)if you would like to proofread it. The topic is: post mortem IRC trojan analysis.
I've done the SSH stuff here before:Quote:

Would more be needed?

WOOHOO!
It sounds like this issue is shaping up to be a good one. Keep 'em coming!
:)
A VI tutorial?
VI tutorials are welcomed.
I'm still looking for articles. 3 weeks left! :)
How about VPN ? there is little info i have about it
i want to know more about VPN, may be some one will write about it ? thanks
I'll get to it before Nov 21. School work and such are making it a little slower. Hrm... If we all had access to sweet ass research labs, reports and all that bit we could write better articles, but for now we are stuck with beating dead horses as somebody else stated.Quote:

-Cheers, Sam-
One week left everyone! Get your articles to me by Friday. :D
Want an article on DNA computers?
Oh.. sure.. :D
They are pretty interesting from the 5 seconds I spent reading and the 2 minutes my mom spent explaining them to me. :) I'm not sure to many people would find it useful though. ;) Good luck with it.Quote:

How about...
- how to build a honeypot
- how to detect honeypots
- how to use tcpdump to the fullest
Just look through the tutorials Index to see what has been covered (basic *nix commands has been done a few times). Think of something and let me know.
