pssh...bush has done nothing for america but send it to hell
Kind of a wierd question, however I will grace this thread with my presence. :D
I've lived through three personally, the two Bush's (Senior and Dubbya) and that other guy :D The guy who I felt made a big difference was Reagan, he lowered taxes, boosted the economy (Reganomics), and gave our national defense a kick in the rear. As far as likeability, I like Bush Jr. He puts things in nice, simple terms that my outrageously tiny mind can comprehend and has done a good job (also, as far as I can tell he has avoided mixing work, pleasure, and the oval office).
However, clinton can kiss my ass :kissass:
Cumon guys! Think past the last couple of presidents! Jefferson and Washington kicked some British @ss (Or arse as it may of been in the day) and put together the constitution! (Second times a charm - Articles of Confederation) ;) Or Lincoln freed the slaves, Truman dropped the bomb, Nixon cheated everyone.... Plenty of presidents to choose from whatever your political views... :D
i agree with TheRepublican, reagan has probably been our best president in 50 years. i also agree with him on Bush jr., hes helping the economy (the economy drop was caused by clinton) and he went out and kicked some terrorists @$$es, insted of like clinton who was always trying to make peace with everyone regardless of whether or not they killed Americans.
YOu guys will make great republicans one day..... ;) If in doubt, blame it on Clinton or any other democrat who has ever been in office. :p
thank you CXGJarrod :D hats off to ya
Lived through Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton & Bush
Most productive president Reagan
Best Person that held the job (not necessarily the "best president") Carter
Grover Cleveland
i do believe reagen was a great president i wasnt born intull 1990 therefore i didnt know a whole lot about him. i do think he did a great job difently better than clinton lol. i feel bad for him now because reagen had elshiemers
I would have to go with Nixon and Clinton in a tie. both where sneaky and moraly fluid enough to do the job right and both got a lot of important things done both in the US and in the world (nixon with china and vietnam, clinton with fixing the econamic mess this country had at the time, the good friday acord and giveing a gillmier of hope for peace in isrial). Now neither of them where nice guys and any one would be hard pressed to like them on a personal level (this led to both of their down falls) but they where some of our best presidents ever.
If you want to look at who was the best person who was president I would say Carter....interestingly he was also one of our worst presidents.
Trivia answer on Grover Cleveland. He was president for two terms but they weren't consecutive.
nice to see you kno your presidents "Fourdc" lol
Dammit Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter! Why did you cause this huge hemorrhoid in my ass this morning! You guys are the worst presidents ever! :DQuote:

Seriously, Carter was a pussy and continues to be a pussy to this day.
Seriously, Clinton was a pussy and continues to be a pussy to this day.
Seriously, Reagan kicked ass and almost had his own movie.
Seriously, CBS needs to get a life, spending money on a movie to bash a guy who can't defend himself and pussies out of it at the last moment.
Seriously, this string of sentences needs to stop! :D
indeed clinton was a pussy and still is he did nothing for the country in my eyes! and cbs is wasting money lol
hmmmmm..... Remember that thing called free speech? That movie should of been aired, but the republicans in power (who own CBS and a lot of other things) decided the movie could not air because it would be damaging to the party. I hope it at least comes out on DVD.Quote:

I would agree with you on this point except for a speech that he said to a bunch of people that HUnter S Thompson saw and made a transcript of... It was an awesome speech about corruption and society today.Quote:

Yes Bush has done crap for this country. Thats why he caught Saddam, the hard way. Clinton could have just as well done so and by far it would have been easier. Bush may not always do stuff right, but at least he tries. to Bush!
Think about things in terms of greatness. The founding fathers created a totally new government (based on rule by the people) and overthrew the British rule. Bush caught Saddam. Other presidents have done so much more than Bush. You might just think that he is a great president because in your short lifetime you have only seen a few presidents. I think that we are going to look back on Bush in 20-50 years and say "What the F were we thinking."Quote:

I agree with you CXG, on both sides of the fence there is oftem limited scope based on experience.
i do as well
So why hasen't he caught the guy who is actualy a threat to this country?Quote:

I'm not sure abt the "best" one so far...but I know what I like in a leader. Even though I don't agree with all that Bush is doing...I do like his kick ass, take names attitude. We need a leader that doesn't take any **** and who isn't afraid to take action.
If Osama is in a country other than Afgan, we may never get him unless he is handed over.
Roadclosed - I agree with u there. Osama is more of a holy man type than a brutal dictator. Saddam and Osama are very different. Osama is probably in Pakistan sinse he has a large group of supporters there. But ya, I've got a feeling 2 abt that....he will probably have to be handed over...but on the other hand..he has more balls than Saddam and most likely won't be taken alive.
he was the one who actually did something saddamm didnt he just threatened. once the threat was intact the osama thing just went dead and he had a chance to get away now that they have got saddamm the hunt for osama should start. but i dont agree with sending all those troops there only because so many died trying to catch saddam. but i agree with u both hashish and roadclosed.
getting this topic back on track... fdr, hands down, was the best president to date. look at the economic plan he worked on and how he got the country back running at full steam during the 1930s after the depression. the man pretty much remade 20th century capitalism...
