Opera-
Password Wand, Change identity of your browser, Skins, Easy GUI, tab browsing, mail, no pop ups.
I give it a A+
I also use opera.
Built in pop up blocker, and loads pages faster than what IE does.
I've been using firebird as of lately... its small, cool plugins, and don't have to install it. Just extract to folder, and run.
I'll have to check out firefox though... I've heard good things about it.
I currently use Mozilla because it is faster than Internet explorer and it has a built in popup blocker :D
I am using Firefox at present. I can't really tell any difference between it and Firebird though.
The one gripe I have with Firefox is that the side (and bottom) slide bar (for oversized windows) is missing. Right now this is not a problem, because I am using a scrolling mouse, but it still would be nice to have.
Note: This could be an installation problem. I had a problem on my first install and had to reinstall it. I might have a slightly corrupted download.
I absolutely love Internet Explorer! It's the greatest thing since sliced bread!
Yes, I ACTUALLY am using IE right now (*shudder*). I've been thinking of changing to Mozilla but never got arount to it. They have firebird on my school computers and I like it. Maybe I'll get it right now...............
Peace out,
mjk
Mjk you really should give mozilla or Firebird a try I am sure you will be happy with the speed and the features it has built in :D
I'm downloading FireFox 0.8 this very moment. 25% already :cool:Quote:

Thanks,

EDIT:
Using FireFox right now. It made a big difference! There was a large increase in speed. Thanks guys :)
I have about five computers in my house. I'll use whatever browser a friend or someone has set to as defualt. As for IE... ummm did I also mention I have regprot and up to date AV?
:cool:Code:GET / HTTP/1.1

Using firebird right now(sometimes just plain ol mozilla). Will be trying out firefox shortly. I tried opera about a year ago and did not care for it much.
I used Firebird. and MyIE2, MyIE2 is really good, but i'm currently sticking with IE. I'm just lazy to install anythign else.
I have/use[d] actually quite a few of them :
-- Firefox
-- Internet Explorer [ Current browser that I am using. ]
-- Opera
-- Safari
But as for a favorite ? Don't really have one. I will just use whatever I feel like using on that day.
If they are free I can usually be relied upon to take a handful:
IE6 SP1
Netscape Navigator
Mozilla 1.6
Opera
Firefox (just got that in the last couple of days)
I tend to use IE out of force of habit................I am old :)
/off topic
If anyone is having a problem with Mozilla loading, try turning off your popup stopper.............hmmm i guess my defence mechanisms on this test box are now like a shoal of starving pirahnas.............they will eat anything I throw to them :)

Cheers
since Firebird turned Firefox 0.8 it is the greatest browser for linux ever, since Firefox now uses gtk2 its fast as hell, really the only browser of choice on a linux system.
I'm using Mozilla Firebird..
I agree firebird 7.3 worked well (a little buggy) , but firefox has been exceptional, opera is pretty sweet also but the gui kinda bugs me.Quote:

Thank you for your responces everyone.
I have been a member of other boards who enjoy flaming n00bs. So i appreciate the positive responses.
CHEERS.
CYB3R.
I use Netscape 7.1 it is faster even though some pages cannot be supported by it amd has a built in popup blocker and i like its tabbed browsing and i also use IE 6 with the service packs
I use firefox because of the built in popup blocker, the option to stop the installation of software unless you allow it. And because of all the cool extensions that can be added on such as the web developer toolbar.
I'm currently using Firefox 1.0.4. The plug-in support is amazing for this browser and the price is unbeatable. :)
Definetly Firefox
Firefox seems to be far superior to Internet Explorer, and that's what I've been using since it's release. I recommend Firefox to anyone to reduce the chances of adware/spyware.
As much as I hate to say it I do tend to keep going back to IE.
I think this is because I am just a young one (the first pc I used was a Win 95 box) and as such I had used IE for several years before even becoming aware of different browsers. Also it's the only browser on the boxes at work and my boss (Head Systems) gave me a right old kick in the happy sacks when I downloaded FireFox (Company policy yadda yadda etc etc).
That said I have started to use Opera more as I have just built a Linux box and tend to use that more.
