Hey,
This system is located in CT.. Is this your system?
No it isn't..................Dells of that age (PIII/650) have a lot of compatibility problems in my experience.
I once had the greatest pleasure in replacing one with a Digital Venturis PI/133............a far superior bit of kit.............well at least the bean counter got to make his presentation.....he would not have done otherwise
You would get that kind of money in the UK but not in the US...........we get ripped off over here :(
I am looking for one of my relatives to bring me a birthday present over, and I would be looking for a new P4 (2+Ghz) for that price ($600)
Also, that battery is OLD, how is it going to stand up?
Just my thoughts
I would check out tigerdirect www.tigerdirect.com and bestbuy www.bestbuy.com and compare prices, features Etc.
I bought a 700mhz, 40Gig HDD, 128mb RAM, WinXP, P3, Carrying case DVD-R/CD-RW combo drive for $450...so its defenitely not worth it :).
Doesn't look like it is selling either.
I guess he Lowered the price...
Looks like YOU/SOMEONE ELSE???? Sold It.... Congrats I guess...
is this overpriced? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ESSE%3AIT&rd=1
the guy said he would sell me 10 for $1500.00
you can probably find cheaper, but I would still say that is a "decent" price. I'm sure he will sell it.
I would say "too expensive" @$200
1. no monitor
2. No operating system
3. Not much memory
4 500MHz Celeron
I got an IBM PIII/533 with 256Mb, 32xCD, 56.6 modem, IBM G54 15" almost flat CRT monitor, keyboard , mouse, 8Mb AGP Video card, WIN98se, for £20 (GBP) :)
I recommend recruiting family and friends and try to get one direct from a corporation or business.
These characters are "jobbers", they buy "job lots" from Corporations then try to make a killing on e-bay?
Over here you would stand a better chance of a bargain in the local paper.
Cheers
we still have people trying to off 133's for $300.00
