What is the most intense drug you have taken? Also, give the frequency of use and times you've used it if you want. I basically want to see how many people on here use drugs.
Tryptamines would have to be my selection, more specifically mushrooms. Well, go on, vote away!

that's imho the weirdest drug around... cocain and mdma feels normal compared to them..
Psilocybin (the chemical found in hallucinogenic mushrooms) would fall under the "Tryptamines" category.
Ah i occasionaly sit back and sniff some Coke, but that's very really as it's damned expensive over here.
Maybe i should start my own Lab and make the ****.

I went through a phase about two years ago with plenty of irresponsable sex, parties ect.. I tried crack once during that phase, but it's a nasty drug and I'll never do it again

Growing up watching Taxi on television, helped me to realize that I would never take drugs. Something about not wanting to end up like Reverend Jim. :)
Never taken any drugs (other than the obvious alcohol, which is socially acceptable and, in my opinion, doesn't really count) and don't intend to. Whatever you do though, do *not* mix so-called "class c/minor" drugs with alcohol. It's not pretty.

I smoke marijuana from time to time but i have tried Heroin once.

I've sampled many things over the years, ending it all about 2 years ago when my daughter was born.
My current drug of choice is Dr Pepper, along with frequent doses of nicotine.

Having just been seperated from my wife, I went on a 'spree' where I took anything and everything I could get my hands on... And seeing as my dad is the ex-hippie type, I had access to pretty much what ever I wanted. I did set some rules for myself; 1. NO NEEDLES! 2. No diacetylmorphine (heroin) 3. To remind myself before taking ANY drug that I was about to enter into an altered state, and no matter what I "discovered" it was false until I can prove it in a so called "normal" state of mind. With that, I've now tried alchol, marijuana, shrooms (not sure the exact type) cocaine, Meth/lithium. Still thinking about MDMA, but haven't decided, the shrooms were nothing special, however the Amphetamines (Meth/Lithium) are definitely my favorite! I guess I've always been a bit of a speed freak. (Caffeine in quantities that would normally kill an elephant!) Funny thing is? this is my first post to this site... I mean, I WAS here for some general knowledge and a place to converse with fellow IT geeks... well just didn't realize you were SO much like myself...

Now to take your post apart:
Alcohol IS a drug. Being drunk is being high on it, and as for being socially acceptable, it's sad that matters. And what the hell? No general Opium/OpiateVote? I won't do heroin, and that is all you have listed.
And as for doing Heroin only once...Yea right. That's like jerking off once and saying you didn't like it enough to try again. "Ugh, I hate orgasms, they feel so crappy. I never want to *** again".

Opiates don't leave a hang over, it's not like you're going to wake up the next day wondering what you did the night before.

Anyway, things I have done:
Smoked weed a few times. Wasn't my thing so I stopped.
Did Coke once...Again, not my stile.
E once....Boring.
Amphetamines...Would rather have coffee. I used to do these back when I was working 12 hour shifts with no break.
Xanax...It's OK.
Valium...Heh, can't talk **** about Valium.
Demerol...It's a man made Opiate. It's kind of cool, but no where near as good as the real thing (Morphine).
Morphine; Proof that an orgasm does in fact come in pill form. I LOVE Morphine. I took it a few times. A lot stronger than the Vicodin you all know me as loving, and similar effects (Euphoria, kept me awake for a day, had to check my pants to make sure I hadn't came on myself).
Vicodin...(I know, shocking, I like it huh? ;) ) I do Vicodin every day. It helps me concentrate, keeps me in a good mood, and actually works on my pain. I love it.
Oxy Contin: Ohhhhh *Creams* All day Morphine!!!!!
Tylenol #3 with Codiene, heh, awesome, you can take these and boil them down to make pure Codiene cocktails.
222s: Same thing, you can take a bunch of these and put them in hot water, crush them, and then pour it into cold water, put it through a coffee filter, and get the Codiene out. These are over the counter in Canada, and a main reason I go their.
Dramamine: These are for motion sickness, but you can get a very hallucinogenic type experience fromt hem. You take one a day according to the bottle, me and my friends swallowed the whole bottle down (One bottle for each person) It sedates the hell out of you, and I don't recommend doing it at all. It's like watching a dream. And very dangerous. Proof that regular Opiates and Pot should be legal, at least kids wouldn't resort to this.
Alcohol...Damn, the nights I have spent wondering what happened the day before from Alcohol poisoning. I like Cognac and Brandy, but not much else.
Soma: This is a nice little muscle relaxer, and one of the only ones that actually have a recreational value. It's fun, and great for withdrawel.
Robaxin: WOW.
Barbiturates: Done these a few times. The strong ones can put you out for days. Sometmies make you feel drunk as hell, but don't stick with these. Each pill is like a 5th.
Lithium: Weird ****.
Nitrouse Oxide: WOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the only "Recreational" drug I still like. I don't count Opiates as recreational anymore, as they help me out with a lot including concentration. Nitrouse Oxide is the ****! My dentist has a huge container of it that I'v tried stuffing in my pants, but that didn't work. A lot of supply companies have huge tanks of it. Couple of my friends have broken in and taken them. I recommend just buying a **** load of whip cream cans. Of course I have been refused these before. When I was 18 I tried buying 3 cans and the lady said she couldn't sell me them because "I might stick it in my nose and try to get high"....Sad ****.
Nitrouse is so fun. It's a quick 5 minutes laugh fest, and as long as you don't do it much, it's not harmful. Awesome stuff. And you get a nice tasty treat while inhaling from whip cream cans. Of course you can't swallow it though. You're laughing to hard.
Ether: HOLY ****.
I'v done a lot more than I listed, but I can't remember all of it.
I did everything you can imagine, but NOT Acid, Shrooms, PCP, Angel Dust, Crack, Heroin, Peyote....Ice, Meth...I did just about everything else but these.
Ether is some funny shite. By-by brain cells though... Only done that a couple of times.
especially when you are at work whilst on it - I used to work in a lab and had to use ether 2-3 times a week whilst extracting peptides off a support matrix. The fume extraction facilities weren't that great so guess who used to end up wasted - didn't realise people still used it as a recreational drug though.Quote:

yeah I had noticed you were old school :) - but as for killing cells - most people don't object to alcohol and look how many cells that kills. I never got on with it because of the crashing headache I used to get several hours later - several orders of magnitude worse than a hangover - one of the reasons I left that job actuallyQuote:

I know alcohol is a drug, hell I take it often enough (if you want to put it like that - although obviously not in pure form). However, it doesn't have the same negative feelings towards it that other drugs do. Going down to the pub for a couple of pints on a Friday is socially acceptable, hanging out in the park smoking cannabis generally isn't. This is probably because stuff like cannabis is illegal (although tolerated to an extent by the police) and you can get high off that stuff easier than you can from alcohol. Being drunk in the street isn't socially acceptable (except maybe amongst students) anymore than being off your face from heroin is.

Just a word though - unless you like experimenting - don't drink 100% alcohol (and by this I do mean 100% pure ethanol this is not the same as 100% proof). I had half a pint of it which I had 'liberated' it from one of the Uni labs - I don't clearly recall the rest of the night or most of the next day - I think it adds up to about 20 pints or 25 double vodkas in one go - an interesting experience but not one I recommend
I was actually replying to Gore's post - I really should have quoted it to make that obvious. For a student, I'm not drunk in the street that often - usually because it ends up with someone trying to nick my wallet/phone, me dancing/singing (I'm bad enough when sober) or thinking I can simply step in and solve a dispute on the bus with pure charisma backed up with a bit of physical muscle. ;)Quote:

Hah, I'm boring in that respect - I rarely drink anything other than lager which is only really about 4% (unless you have Stella, but that kills me the next morning). Gone are the days when I'd drink vodka straight from the bottle, I prefer now a quiet pint to a shot race. Damnit why do I have to grow old so quickly? (about the pure ethanol stuff - would be "interesting" to try but I'm not that insane - I'd have to be drunk already to even think about it and then... well the consequences wouldn't be very pretty. After doing well in GCSE double science and hanging round with mostly chemistry/biology people in college, I know what it can do to you. :))
Ethanol can do some bad **** to you especially if you smoke at the same time. :) I dont smoke so the only drug i do is alcohol and even on that level I have calmed down a lot.
I never tried ethanol but have tried some very powerfull home brewed whiskeys and spirits. (poiteen comes to mind). When it is done right it is strong enought that when you drink water in the morning you get drunk again. then again when it is not done right it can kill you. It is also another drink you dont want to smoke around.
Now days i too sit in the back of the pub with my stout remebering when .............
Hmmm, can't drink the hard stuff anymore huh? Personally I like Cognac. I don't like beer, it looks like piss and tastes about the same unless it's a good German import. I do like Bourbon, Cognac, and Brandy though. I rarely drink though. I don't like getting drunk because it ruins my concentration, and of course hang overs suck.
Opium on the other hand, I can concentrate even better, my reflexes are better I can think clearly, it takes care of my chronic Migrains....I still can't figure out why it is against the law.
lol, fortunately for US that is only about .00005 percent of the worlds beer. A good lager, like pwaring stated is a delight. Add to that a nice pub versus the gruff neighborhood bars in America and it's heaven on earth. One can sip away and slowly, ease themselved into a relaxed state, versus being kicked out the back of a speeding lorry.Quote:

pwaring - ahh just me getting confused then. But wait.... don't get drunk often - call yourself a student ;) - I actually did my BSc and MSc in Biomedical science so I know full well what pure ethanol can do - like I said I was 'experimenting' (well you gotta if you're doing a science degree). Although this brings me to another word of caution - a med school student I knew decided he would also experiment after I had told him of my experience and injected himself with 5cc of vodka - fool nearly nearly killed himself (insane I may be but I ain't stupid) - students huh!
However these days I'm usually a cider, wine or spirits man and I don't get as drunk as I used to - model citizen me!
Oh and if anyone visits Bristol find a cider pub called the Coronation Tap - if you're lucky they still do Uncle Igors falling down water - its a nice drink made from apples (or so they claim) - about 22% IIRC - tastes like paintstripper but takes a strange hold of you once you've had a pint

Heh, I consider myself to be a mature student... if there is such a thing (usually it means you're a postgrad). Besides, the girls in my flat drink enough to make up for my lack of an alcohol stream, and I'm probably one of the better-off students financially because I don't spend all my money on booze (he says having just bought yet another laptop!).
Agh, I wish you'd told me about Bristol this time last year - I was down there over the summer and it's dead when the students have gone home. Brannigans was empty (usually one of my favourite places) and the other clubs were either playing crap music or had DJs that I was on the verge of punching for being complete twats.
As for injecting yourself with alcohol, that is one of the stupidest things you could possibly do - especially with vodka. It'll go straight into your bloodstream (yes I know that's probably the idea, but you'd have to be insane to try it) and hits you more or less straight away I would imagine (unlike normal drinking which takes a while to kick in). I hope the guy learned his lesson - what the hell was he doing in med school anyway? :)
