hi, i have been looking for a trojan for school. I am doing a project on internet secruity and i want to show how trojans work and how to get rid of them, but i can not find a reliable source. i am hoping some one here knows a reliable source to get trojans. i would like something such as netbus, or subseven but any trojan would do;(and not just client lol):

You don't need a trojan for a research paper, if thats what you're doing. If you are doing a presentation, just simulate it with some flavor of VNC. You can google for various descriptions of the trojans and describe what they do. Check out your library for a book on viruses, I bet they have some.

Eeuh you wan't a trojan like subseven. Man how about throwing subseven into google and press I'm feeling lucky.
OR you could type list of trojans and something like that. And pik a trojan you like and find its website if there is one. And you could find it on some german warez site anyway.

When the furby was first realeased I was there, I bought one and disassembled it...
stupid chip was covered in resin so without access to fuming nitric acid or an ultrasonic hammer I wasnt able to look at the insides of the chip under a microscope... and figure out a way to write/ read data

OK my "captain sensible" answer:
1. Take two machines off the school network, loaded with WinXP
2. Connect them via a null modem cable.
3. Activate remote support
You can then demonstrate the properties of trojans without any risk to anything.

But seriously kid, that is the lamest social engineering attempt I've seen since yesterday when one of my clan-mates was asking me for the website where to get a client/server trojan I used on him :D. I have a collection of them skiddo, if yo want one, do a rain dance around me, make me some seafood Paella, massage my feet and perhaps I'll THINK about giving you one. I still dont see why do you need a trojan to show how it works....GET A FREEGIN PAPER AND PENCIL AND DRAW IT. Besides, it will show a lot more creativity, it will look much more professional and it will also make you look l33732 if you can draw what a trojan would do and explain it...shows that you know what the hell you talking about besides just putting the IP on the client. If you do end up using a server too, then you're too darn foolish because no one is going to appreciate you installing a malicious file on their computer.

Static displays are impressive and will help improve your grade. However, since you are obviously not versed in dealing with trojans, virus types, and the like, you could cause some real trouble and end up kicked out of school and possible in jail. There are numerous ways to demonstrate the affects without actually deploying a trojan. With that in mind, I would recommend modifying your thought process. Just as an example, to demonstrate (legit) methods of access, you could use telnet, hyperterminal, etc. No harm with that, but the results are almost the same.

He's using it for tests on an isolated network. He also asked for viruses and worms....not trojans such as sub7. The first one looks legit and it doesn't look like some kid trying to impress his friends how he access his school's computer from his home. Lets say the first one has socially engineered us in a much more effective way :). Also, he most likely got negged by someone who likes to jump the gun and then some senior member thought he didn't deserve to get negged so he gave him some APs...although undeserved.Quote:

Trojans can be demonstrated with legitimate remote support software or operating system features. And that would be far safer?
But I don't see much about this thread to get excited about? It might just have been worded a bit better, like explaining how the demonstration was to be conducted, and so on?

Ok i did not explain good i am not very good at that. i nned the trojan becaus i am showing how they work and then how to remove them by showing them on the computer. i am going to be using my old computer so no school computers will be harmed. and sry for being an idiot :)
Err so now your changing your story.. It's not going to be you demonstrating it on school computers at school anymore it's your going to do it on your own computer's at school, now that everyone is objecting to your purpose? Hrmm.. sorry pal, your story seem's a little far-fetched to me. And your not an idiot, your a kiddiot. There is nothing to show that is worth showing. As everyone else said, anything you can connect to and remotely control will do... and make your friends think your smart or cool. And there are plenty of tutorials to cut and paste from which will explain how to stop the startup of malware. As for "how it works" I would hardly think your class would care at all about API calls, file I/O for binding & dropping, encodeing & tunneling, or TCP/IP in general. Even if this is really & truely for your school, you asked us to think and make good grades for you... it just makes you all the more the bigger lamer up in here.

Why can't you accept the fact that your tutorial sucked and I flamed you hopeing you'd do something with it. You were always one of many to cheer on when I flame or was being sarcastic or what others call "being funny" around the newbies but then when it happends to anyone else... look what happends. :pQuote:

Actually im cool with the peaple who Tiger put it as "the higher ranks" I mean there really isn't anything to complain about except how everyone is fighting over who is the bigest post whore alive. But if you want me to just say things about peaple randomly who probably didn't even ask for it to begin with then ok from now on then thats perfectly fine...
