I dont have any favorites really... I steal, grab, make, or buy what I need then dispose of it when I don't. But if I had to choose I'd say:

For Pascal and C/C++ I use some IDE by bloodshed

Redhat
It's easy to make your own scanners
CrapPad rocks! :D
Graphic editing: any is fine (There are to many out there to count)
I also like VB and MASM because im weird.

Java :i don't work w/ it ... i only used it back in a day in school/ on my mobile/ and w/ progs that require java VA ... no need to get so offneded dude
i like java it's a very clean lang. but personally i prefer python
