Communist Backed Broadband
The difference is night and day. South Korea vs. North Korea
Why communism sucks!
High-speed Internet connection of 8 megabits per second -- only about average for a South Korean apartment, but nearly eight times the typical broadband speed in US households.
Internet access is extremely limited in North Korea where people cannot get online without the right political connections. There is an intranet, or internal network, within Pyongyang, but it is unclear how extensive it is.
Nevertheless, North Korean leader Kim Jong-il is said to be a regular Web surfer and a fan of the Internet. (Hi Kim!)

South Korea, by contrast, is the most wired country on the world with the world's greatest penetration of high-speed broadband connections. About 65 percent of its 16 million households have access.
