banned members

is there any way to figure out exactly what a member was banned for? there are a couple that i am interested in learning why...

No, there is not...
If you see someone with 3 (or sometimes even 4) red dots, you'll know that he/she has been banned by the AntiPoints system, though. If they don't have those red dots and they're banned, they've been banned by an administrator or a moderator. Reasons for that are numerous...

Seems it has been by their personal request or lack of compliance with the rules they agreed to.

If they were banned by the moderators it's often helpful to look at their profile and read their last couple posts. Sometimes they cussed them out or something and really deserved the banning. Other people create threads containing only the words "neg me" and get themselves banned by the AP system on purpose, but I have no clue why they did this... :confused:

Well there you have it... you get auto-banned when MsM constantly makes excuses to keep you around... and when Neg talks about certian members being to punk for punk rock or something of the sort, almost to a point where people begin to wonder if someone as rude as I would end up turning out to be the forgotten crack-baby of Wendy O. isnt it possible for someone to be banned because of extremely low anti-points, but eventually gain antipoints and leading back into the green, even though they are still banned?

but to answer a question, once you are banned can you still gain antipoints.?

As long as you're not banned, you can gain AntiPoints (even if you have red dots). Once a user has been banned, though, members can't assign AntiPoints to that user anymore, and of course that user can't gain AntiPoints anymore either. Once you're banned, it's over (at least for that account) :)

Yeah, so basically as long as you don't reach -300 antipoints (I think it's somewhere around there, maybe -400?) then your fine. If you see your getting close to that area, try to post productive and helpful posts and maybe even a tutorial.

Maybe a well thought out and very presentable tutorial. Because if your close to getting banned people are gonna be very harsh on you if you just put something up to get your ass out of a sling.

If i was that closed to being banned (-250 say or more) I would just start a new account and start of fresh and try harder from the word go to get along with people and to post meaningful helpful stuff :)

I was once around that number, kept the account, posted BS, never tried or tried harder, & hey... look at me now. No wait, thats kinda sad ain't it?

And [the]Punisher why not just post all the usernames your interested in in one post here, im sure Negative and a couple of us other can remember why they got banned !
