Dear all,
I'm at my work place and thinking of hanging a while at the irc. But as usual admin always block for irc. so last time one of our member, "Syini666" had post this add to me www.schematic.org/irc.php and http://www.sirioweb.bbk.org/cgi-bin/irc/ircgi/irc.cgi . For the first url, it not working since it is using port 6667. which had been block by an admin. And the second url it dead. last time it is working.
So if can, Can somebody tell me where to find irc which not using port 6667, or port that similar to the irc. May be sth that using port 80 whick I beleive no admin block this port. And I hope the url is save(didn't do malicous thing in background).
Does it exist irc client that it just like irc but it not using same port with irc client. I know there is yahoo chat that I can use but the problem is I cannot choice the channel I like.

You can download Httport from http://www.htthost.com/download.boa, it can set up a tunnel between your proxyserver and the irc server for you.

I have WAY too much spare time.

And, unfortunately, I do not have the answer.
However, I would put money on it that the above mentioned jobsworth knows..........

You only ask that the link does nothing malicious, yet you are preparing to waste work time at IRC, giving yet another weakness into your system.

If you HAVE to waste time, why not try to improve your skills at social engineering.......
If the Admin has the IRC ports blocked, it is generally for a very good reason.

Why don't you approach them, and ask for access, or at least a verbal response [:D] as to why they see fit to stop your playtime.

The simple fact that you don't seem to understand why an admin would block IRC other than the fact he is a company man that likes to make sure you work instead of ****ing off chit-chatting with your latest squeeze while he works cleaning up after you is _exactly_ why your admin blocks IRC.

Educate your lazy little mind...... Google the following terms, read about them and then repost here laying out the reasons why your admin blocks outbound port 6667:-

1. IRCBot
2. Botnet
3. Backdoor port 6667
4. Trojan port 6667
5. Keylogger port 6667

Now quit spending the energy your company pays you for trying to circumvent their perfectly reasonable restrictions on you and redirect it to what they pay you for.... It's called work!!!!!!

Subseven is a real good irc-client. Be sure to take the server version, that way you can chat and invite people in to chat with you

Shrekkie you forgot to mention that some Antivirus software picks up on the Sub7 Server as a virus.....its not tho its just business's pay the antivirus companies to make their software tell everyone its a virus so that people like y2k wont run it as the business's know that is a sure fire way for people to get around their safegaurds and chat whiole at work!!

I don't it because of the virus or anything bout threat. What I heard is the worker sometimes chating for the whole working hours. And yes some of them didn't bother bout their work. That's what my senior do last time. But I just chating because this few month we don't really have work to do, it just want to have a little memory refresh.Sigh, may be you need to work on night then you know how suck it is.
My admin block to porno, chatting, etc, but do you all really beleive admin never surf this kind of stuff.They own the comp/server, who knows if they do this. Am I right

I do work nights. In a tech support call center. It doesnt get any more broing than my 2am. I unlike you know ways around such restrictions and could proably get away with it since im in good with the internal IT guys. But do you know why i dont? Because i have been told that it is against the rules. And you know what? Its enough for me to know that Im not supposed to do it to keep me from doing it.

1. I'm sure there is a phrase in the work rules or agreement that gives them the right to fire anyone caught using IRC, cruising cetain sites. As to not having any work, please let me know which company so I can dump my stock if I happen to have any before this gets out to Wall street.

That was by far, the dumbest ****ing thing I have ever read. I think I am actually dumber, after reading it.

Why don't you guys give it up, the guy gets the point, ****. 90 people telling you, you shouldn't do something, kind of gets old really fast. So in other words, give it up.

For the rest of you, Yeah, we all know of all the Vulnerabilities that are possible on IRC. We all know that there are a **** load of Vulnerabilities just for 80. A shitload for 80 than IRC if I remember correctly.

Dude, do you really think, your thoughts of me swearing or not are high on my priority list?

Hint.... No, they are not. I could care less, if you feel because I swore, I am a delinquent. I think I should change my last post just to say, what you said was the dumbest thing, I have ever read. By your definition, anyone that ever swears, where people are talking is a delinquent. So let's see, we have just gotten rid of a good ohhhh 90% of the U.S. population. If I remember correctly, Irish people have a slippery tongue, and swear also. Get rid of them also. You know those British people, I have heard swear a lot also. So let's get rid of them also. So the only people left, are really really religious Christians, people that think swearing is bad, and should be done under no circumstance, ohhh.... and you.

Now, the better way to go about it, might of been something like. Whiz, I don't like when people swear at me, will you please reframe from doing. it. That would get you a lot farther. That I would agree to, and say, you know what, I can respect that. If you don't want someone to swear at you, I understand. The most interesting thing about the post you just made, is that at no point do you admit, that you should of probably asked me not to swear in a different way. By your statements, you are provoking me to lash out. Unfortunately, I am not as dumb as you thought. So I am not going to lash out; I am not going to get angry. I am just going to sit here, and wonder. How in the heck did you come up with such a useless set of posts.
