Well I took a job to install a network for a medical clinic in Alaska and now I am regretting it.
It was about -20 today very windy to.
It gets light @ 11:00 a.m and dark @ 4:00 p.m
Everything here is like twice as high price wise to than in the "lower 48's" lol
COLD COLD COLD and DARK DARK DARK is all it ever is here. lol
Think of me while you guys enjoy your heat. lol
The long nights and cold temperatures make the area a super party town, so quit working so hard and enjoy those long nights also.
YES! find a nice girl to cuddle up with - they're wonderful for keeping you warm.
/me walks away laughing, noting the thermometer in the upper 60's and supposed to be 72 tomorrow.
make sure you find a fat one, they're good for the winter !

In arkansas where I live its gonna be in the 50's this week so I'm missing that.

Think of the good side of things : When you get home you will really appriciate the warm weather.
You will be able to say "been there and done that".
There is almost no danger of the cpu overheating and at least if the server freezzes you will know why...:p.

if you can't find a girl as copyright said get a polar bear or a penguin or some blue whale ( they migrate to north pole for winter)

It is absolutely breathtaking up there.
I like the cold but just not that cold. You reminded of a story my grade school teacher told us when he lived in Alaska. He use to preform the coffee test to determine how cold it was out side. He would take a piping hot cup of coffee outside and throw it up into the air and watch the ice droplets hit the ground. However that doesn't beat the story of how one day it was so cold that the dashboard in his car got so brittle that when he set something down on it it cracked in two.
SO just some things to look forward to.
Well we were driving down the road cleaning off the wind shield wipers with the wiper fluid and the fluid froze on the windshield and on the wipers before it could be used. lol
Just remember: Dont eat the yellow snow!
