Hack the Planet
I found this page online and thought this was pretty cool. You can take a test and be graded on how 31337 you are with the movie, which I got every answer. I actually knew all those heh. That's sad.
you can look more into the movie and there is a little "Bloopers" section which shows the mess up parts of the movie, like how computers don't do that.

Enjoy.

Isn't this the one with Angelina Jolie? And the Apple computer with a Pentium processor?

favorite quote from that movie:
"Oh my god! Its got a 28.8 bps modem!!!"
hehehehhe. oh and the part with the umbrella. that was classic.
-
Not a very realistic movie, but it was entertaining and the music was good.
-
Angelina is always entertaining to watch.. :hearts:
-
It was a very fun movie... I was working part time at a local electronics place when it came out on VHS/DVD and we had it running on a bunch of the big screens. Sold about a gizzlion notebooks to the local college that season :)
Favorite live "RISC will change everything... yeah RISC is good"
And Angelina is more then worth the "RISC"

Ick... this thread sucks ass and as if wargames hadn't already ruined computers but when that movie was basicly remade for a mid-90s era... I mean it really really REALLY ****ed things up. Now everyone from you to your seventy something year old relative is into computers not so much as a hobby or anything else as oppossed to just another hip thing.
Think about it, the movie holds alot true about "t3h l33t h4x0r" jazz... I mean, they don't waste time letting the audience know that each of the characters' motivation in the movie is to look cool infront of the other.

QUIZ
Not so lucky me... 15 out of 31. But I enjoy the QUIZ. I like the movie fair enough, a fun way to illustrate a crime called curiosity.
BTW, I had read news about the angers of the “real” hackerworld towards this movie. Even heard one guy defaced the movie’s website.
Yo!
-
IIRC it was defaced several times and the studio left the defacements alone to draw even more publicity. either that or the studio had the people who originaly did the page deface it themselves so to speak.
-
Yea it was defaced when the movie first came out and the people were like na leave it up, we knew it would happen. They pressed no charges and much much unlike most other companies, didn't even ask for the guy to be arrested. They left it u in the spirit of the movie.
The movie is faker than **** but at least it's funny.
-
Aaaah come on... you guys don't honestly beleave that BS, do you?
-
I think that they paid people to deface it for publiciity or left it wide open so any noob could deface it if they wanted to.
