I cannot believe that this guy has the audacity to plead innocent. If it is not by reason of insanity, then I can think of no other way he could be innocent. This guy was set for trial the day the murders occurred and he was even captured on video commiting some of the murders.
This is a classic case that Ole-Sparky could resolve in a very short period of time.

I'd just like to state that it will cost the state more money than he's already racked up. Besides, mental anguish from many years in prison actually starts making some of these people pleading for the death penalty. But it's not like I really give of **** about this primitive, bestial infrahuman. I want to see controlled hard labor. I want to see chain gangs breaking big rock into little rock. By the time they get finished with a days work they'll be too tired to take each others asses and fight.

My view on this is that it would be just as bad to kill him as it was for him to kill anyone else. The only way that I truly condone violence (especially killing) is in self defence. But I don't expect many people here to agree with me on that one.

I am simple person with a simple rule: No mercy for merciless, else he will attack again. If he had murdered in self-defense, thats is altogether different thing, but here he can do anything just to satisfy himself like rape and then even have word to plead guilty after killing others. No mercy for such person. may god bless him

this man killed to escape. given the chance (especially now) he would do it again. executing him WOULD be in self defense although id rather see him turned over to the families of the victims with a blind eye cast on the situation. he's a mad dog.

I think if its easy to contain the guy, labor for lifetime is the best way to "payback" the society. But in some cases, the costs on jail, security, etc.. for very dangeours guys not worth the labor. So its better just fry the guy.

Simple... :D ...where I used to go camping there are these rocks...you know the kind...the ones that are about 10-40 feet around and stand 60-120 feet high...with all kinds of rocks at the base around them...you air-lift these criminals onto this rock and if they manage to climb down they get to live :D ...or they can starve or jump...either way works for me...and no one has to pull the handle. :p



or you could give them a tee-shirt and shorts and drop them off on Baffin Island and let them play with the Polar Bears! Polar Bears could be the official executioners and they would certainly enjoy the entertainment value! Maybe even make a Survivor segment out of it !

I have always been a firm believer in hard labour and public floggings. I dont really believe in the death penality except in very specific cases. Make them work for the rest of their lives in some hell hole. Some place where if they do escape they have about a 99% chance of dying in the attempt. Taken also that the death penalty in the states is almost a bad joke on justice it just isnt worth the money it costs to keep people on death row.
In the case discussed above he will get a good lawer who will take on the trail for publicity reasons and he probably wont even come close to the death sentence.

How about... You get the condemned man put him in a fenced off area where he can't get out and get a high velocity rifle (7.62 or 5.56mm) put it on a motorised platform attached to a laptop and let rednecks control it across the internet. Charge them and then the disposal of the inhuman would turn a profit rather than take a loss as on death row.

I always thought people like child molesters should get some type of permanent tattoo on their face( the mark of the beast). Because I don't even want to stand in the same room with these scum bastards. At least the little kids would have some type of advantage over a predator. See the mark of the beast, scream bloody murder and run. Maybe some biochemist at Argonne National Lab could cook up something that would permanently make them smell putrid. Rarely do I agree with Imitation, but I do in this case. At least the adults that the man in Atlanta killed had a fighting chance...hell, half of them were armed (don't get me started on that!). Florida is now working on stiffening the penalties for abuse in the first place, and then forcing pedophiles to wear tracking bracelets til the day they die. How do I sign on for this? These people shouldn't be allowed out of prison in the first place, but if they are, someone should know where they are 24 hours a day 7 days a week til they die. These are not people you can rehabilitate. Molesting a child is as bad as murdering them, because you've ruined the rest of their lives. Everything they do, from the relationships they are in to the marriages they make to the children they have is affected. Look at how many of them wind up in prison themselves.

That being said, I'm all for prison rehabilitation, and I think most people do deserve a second chance. Just not sex offenders, or my ex-husband. :p

I have to agree child sex offenders definately do not deserve a second chance. Anyone guilty of rapeing and killing a child isnt worth the money it takes to keep him alive in prison. In a lot of cases they need to be in a high security section to protect them form the general prision population. Waste of money if you ask me. Should just cover them in seal fat and throw them naked to the polar bears.

If we are so hesitate about making him pay for what he did to his victims then do a simple thing put him in cage with 2-4 really sex hungry gurillas or apes(whatever), just anything that willl teach him what it feels when you are forced and brutally raped. then may god bless those gurrillas, they pull the switch also.

As a society, we say that if you commit a crime, and are found guilty, you should server the time. After your time is done, you can come back and live with the rest of our 'civilized' society.

At his previous trial he chose to change his plea to guilty by his actions. No futher lawyers and other reptiles need to be involved...............sentence and execute..................homeless, old, war vets.............and we are expected to spend 10 times what they get keeping genetic defects alive.

I would shoot any lawyer who would represent him as well, as they obviously do not understand the RULES..............we all know that they care bugger all about justice? Sure, he is entitled to a defence............let him defend himself?

Punishment only works as a deterrent if it's Swift, Certain & Severe.

Unfortunately, in the US none of the above applies. The court system takes too long. It's common for someone to get off on a technicality. And the severity of punishment is often quite lacking. There are cases where people who abuse animals get stiffer sentences then those who abuse our children!

And of course this presumes that the offender is rational enough to make a decision based on likely outcomes. Most sex offenders will admit to being unable to control their actions. Many plead not to be allowed out of prison. There have even been cases of convicted sex offenders pleading with the courts for chemical (or otherwise) castration.

With all that said, I think child molesters deserve a special place in hell. The new "sex offender registries" are a step in the right direction. Next we need to implement a system that warns the community immediately when a sex offender moves in. Then we need to implement some sort of implanted GPS on these predators, with chemical castration being one of the terms of their release.

We need to be more severe with the parole/probation terms of sex offenders. Their recidivism rate is incredibly high. We need to drag them back behind bars for the smallest of offenses/lapses in the terms of their release.

However, none of this will come to pass until we get out into the public eye and demand more money for our overburdened criminal justice systems. We need more probation/parole officers so they're not dealing with 200+ offenders each. We need courts with the time to pay attention to these crimes.

Yes - also that sometimes the innocent are accused and imprisoned for a crime they didn't commit. Hopefully with the advances in forensic science that can help. However we do need a review and/or an overhaul of our justice system. I wonder if that would actually ever happen.
