Suggestions for new company name?

Hi all

Im about to start a new venture, a computer and network maintenance company.
Ive been thinking about a name for my new company but any thing ive thought of has been taken already.
I know a good company name is very important, so would appreciate it if you guys could give me some suggestions...

You'll be one of the first in the phone book... has a nice ring to it (IMO)

However, Advanced Network is a not for profit org... so people may get confused.

Cacosapo please do not use "reinventing", it has bad connotations in English, it means "wasting your time"............please use "re-engineering" as this is good. You will probably have come across "process re-engineering" and "business re-engineering"? these imply forward and progressive thinking :D

but due that here we speak portuguese and HP uses "reinvent" here as logo, it fits perfectly (latin words with an english accent are allways good here:) )

One of my professores told me that the localization of the name helps to acquire more attention for native people is you are aimng to conduct your business in your town ..... I mean not travelling abroad .. or out side the country ... so think of a name that will be totally approved by your people ...

I remember a story about a car company that failed to market it car because of the name in south america .... the car was called Nova ... and it equals "Doesn't work" or something ... i don't recall it exactly ...

I thought about this once and I came to the conclusiont that putting two simple words together was the best way to make a company name. That way it should be easy to remember and hopefully any potential customers will be able to spell it. If it sticks in their minds even better.

I was trying to figure out a hook for you to use that would help keep your company's name and presence in their mind. I was first thinking of "geek" names - because "The Geek Squad" sticks in people's mind. I was checking and found how many companies are using geek as part of their name:

I've seen a couple places that have the same names, but they can't do anything about it.

One company that I always remember is the "Hire-a-Hoe" company. They rented gardening machines/equipment. I even stole their sign once when I was very intoxicated.... I ended up posting it up in one of my ex girlfriends yards....

It got it's name after a brainstorming session, where the wife of one of the partners finally snapped and said : " I don't care WHAT you call it, just NO initials ........ A nything B ut B loody I nitials" :)
