What happened in London today sucks. I'm officially worried as it's noon-ish your time and I've not heard from either of you. Please answer up and let us know you're ok, we're worried. This goes for all the UK folks as well.

have seen Nihil's post as recent as two hours ago..
A needless and stupid tragedy...I hope they find out who did it and tie a bomb to their.....
I'm sure foxy, nihil, and everyone's Ok...it'd take more than a bomb to get them dethroned from a computer.
Hi |3lack|ce ,
Thank you for your concern. Both Foxy and myself are a long way from London about 250 miles to where it happened in my case. and I would guess at least 160 for Foxy.
It is weird, as it does not look like Al Quaeda...............more like anarchists and related to G8?
If you think about it, the Madrid railway bombings killed around 200 people?
It was obviously intended to disrupt rather than kill.
We will have to let the case develop on this one?.............mind you, I have no doubts where these sort of people get their funding, training and materials from, and those are the buggers I want!
Thanks again, we have been through this nonsense before with "The Angry Brigade", and the IRA
:)
Well...nihil's been accounted for...foxy?. ahem! Report in ya old sod :D....jinxy?...come-on guys let's here from you!
sod... sot? C'mon Fox, where are ya bro?
Could be at work.. .. Jinxy as well.. who have we missed?
oh shite.. there are others I have conversed with.. but their nick's escape me at this time..
/edit: Jinxy is up.. and glad to hear a few of the londoners popping up on forums about.. glad to hear..
made this comment regarding nihils thoughts..
Quote:
the act of a terrorist is anarchy in itself.. the goals are different the routes are similar..
I'm still here Eg,
Just got home from work :).............................I'm a little closer to London than Nihil and Foxy, but still 100 miles or so.
Just had a news update, 37 dead and over 700 casualties, I would expect the death toll to rise, but hope not.
I expect Foxy will be around later. Thanks for the concern guys.
I live, as nihil said, quite a way away.Quote:

But thank you for your concern.
I think we need to save it for those that DID lose someone ..........
[edit]
some thick arab shiites [did you see what I did there :)] are taking responsibility :o
they say it's in retaliation for British 'massacres' in Iraq AND Afghanistan ?????
What goes around comes around.
Hey Foxy~
We have a saying "You might as well be hanged a sheep, as a lamb"
So regarding these "crimes".............perhaps we should go and commit them?
A pint of petrol/gasoline and a Zippo lighter..............better use unleaded though...........We are hosting G8?
If you paint numbers on their backs............you can start betting?
I am glad that the scum were seriously incompetent........"orchestrated" ?..............bollix, I could have done it all by myself and with about 5 times the casualty rate (at least) There was an hour between the explosions, even I can set a clock to a few seconds  and I have been trained in IEDs ;)
Ack Phtt!
So sorry I hadn't checked in on ya'll yet. Glad you're okay. My forum has about 200 members, ~70% are British, I've spent all morning trying to locate all of them. Most are okay, we have very few who are actually in London. Only 1 unnaccounted for right now, but pretty concerned about her, she was going to London today to catch a flight out of Heathrow for France.
Well...there you are foxy...kinda figured that you'd still be here :D...and you too jinxy!
Glad everyone's OK...I hope everyone's OK..don't know everyone here from England...perhaps, a little payback is in order!
Eg ;)
Glad to see you guys are ok. We have an office which is very close to the locations that were bombed, Liverpool Station and Moorgate are the closest tube stations to that office and both of them were bombed. We got word that everyone in our company is ok, but that mobile service is offline and there has been disruption in land line communications. They did say that the power was ok though, and that sitting in the office you would never know that something bad had happened very near by.
I certainly hope everyone on AOUK is ok and accounted for and you guys have my empathy/sympathy.
Oh and there is word that it is an "unknown" Al Quaida group that has claimed responsibility for it. Clicky
y0 guyz , its so pleasing to hear nihil is fine, hope to hear from foxy soon :)
<Rant>
London bombings sux, actually any kind of terrorism. We have faced it for years now in INDIA. I personally was in a state(province) which was officially "very disturbed state" by govt of india. And unfortunately my place was very close to pakistan border. Those are the terros days i dont want ever ever again.
Today heard abt London bombings, yesterday we had Ayodhya attack from LeT, JeT, kinda people.
Huh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These brain-dead stupids idiots dont realize a thing. my mind is going outta control.
I hope london is not turned into a closed place.

Have found my missing member. I'm so relieved.
Glad to hear our members are safe - which I could say that for everyone there.
Besides frustration, anger, resentment, and sadness, one can't help but to feel helpless. What really irks me is the al Qaeda (in this case "of Europe" as per: http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/europe...ube/index.html) also says:
"A group calling itself "The Secret Organization of al-Qaida in Europe" posted a claim of responsibility for Thursday's blasts on the Internet, saying they were in retaliation for Britain's involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The statement also threatened attacks in Italy and Denmark, warning those countries "and all crusader governments that they will receive the same punishment if they do not withdraw their troops from Iraq and Afghanistan."

They condemm the West for putting bases on their sacred land - but they have no problem being terrorists in other countries.
Before I go off further, I just again wanted our UK members the best and hope everything can be as good as possible. And my condolonces to anyone here who had family or friends involved in this tragedy.
Unfortunately, I do not see a 'quick fix' to this issue. Even if the US pulled out of Iraq - would the terrorist attacks stop?
Nope.Quote:

I'm so glad our UK brothers are well though. I was quite concerned about you guys this morning. What are they thinking, going over and attacking Brits? That CAN'T be wise...;)
Glad to hear from you all. I was talking to some friends across the pond and they said its hell over there right now. I wish the best to everyone over there, and hope these wankers get the whats comming to them.
I know how you feel, when I started losing weight, I found my missing member too ;)Quote:
Umm, Deb you guys have a Hurricane coming ALREADY.....
Yeah, probably could have worded that better. >_<
and lalalalalalalala I can't hear you there are no hurricanes. :p
glad to hear everyone is alright.
A little off topic, but is this the begining of the west seeing more and more bombers ? I mean 9/11, Madrid, now London. It seems to be getting more frequent. I hope this is not the case, but I am worried about an upcoming jihad. I don't want to live in another Isreal (no offense to any Israelis), where there is a new market/bus/suicide bomb every day
...or maybe I fret to much ...
anyways, glad to see everyone is ok, my condolences to the familys that lost someone.
lmfao...now -THAT- is what I call denialQuote:

Hi guys,
I left on holidays thursday so havent had a chance to get on line till today. Just want to say I`m glad you are all alright.
muracu.
It will never turn into that, they don't have the networks in other countries or the supplies like they do in israel. Israel, they run 10 miles and they are to their target site... big difference from 100s or 1000s of miles.Quote:

They have probably been building them for decades ..............
They do not think in the time frame that the western world is obsessed with.
Their weakness is that they HAVE to do SOMETHING .................
Our weakness is that as democracies, we let them
We are reactive.
They have to break the law before we can stop them. Otherwise the dirtbag lawyer stands up, says we are infringing on their clients 'freedom / liberty / rights' ............
And they are free again .........
