Hi Gore,
IE (got to for some updates :( ) and firefox..................I also use Mozilla and Opera.................I find them handy for trouble shooting problems that might be browser related.
:)
EDIT: Sorry, I use Outlook for mail, unless I am using the proprietory package that comes with the mail server. I am talking MS Office Outlook here.............I have to support it, so I need to know it?
-
Hi gore,
Well...I use Firefox...but I also have Mozilla ( for the Composer ) and IE...had Netscape but got rid of it...e-mail: OE.
Eg ;)
-
IE for the net
and Outlook [not express] for mail - well........... SOMEONE has to :D
-
Ola,
Well I guess that really depends where I'm at. At work: IE & Outlook.
At home: Konqueror, Firefox, and IE
~cheers~
-
Firefox and MSOutlook, mostly.
I have Netscape but never use it, I do use Composer quite abit though.
If I have to use my laptop, which has a fisked HDD............(To skint to replace it at the moment), I use knoppix STD, so Konqueror and Mozilla get used quite alot.
-
Firefox and Thunderbird ....
-
Heh, lots of outlook users. More than I thought
Anyone check out those other browsers I found?
-
Why is there no Konqueror there and Kmail ??
They are damn good !!
-
Firefox, Mozilla, and IE. :)
-
Jinx if you use that I'm smacking you.

Firefox to browse, as it's the only decent graphical browser that works on OS X, Linux and XP on those rare occassions when I have to use it.
As for email, it's got to be mutt, for several reasons:
1. I can install it on my server, ssh in from anywhere and not have to copy my preferences like I would with say Thunderbird or Outlook (ok you might be able to load them from a server or something, but when you use as many different machines and networks as I do that's not really practical)
2. HTML emails don't load lots of stupid images (they're nearly always spam anyway)
3. I can easily delete loads of obvious spam without having to actually open any of them
4. It runs fast and doesn't leak memory or bring my machine to a crawl ten minutes after opening it
5. When I send emails, I know they're going out in plain text regardless of my preferences (Thunderbird defaults to HTML, or it did last time I checked)
The only problem I've ever come across with mutt is its inability to use an external SMTP server, but there are ways around that and I believe there's a project called Mutt Next Generation or something which does allow for this. Personally I just run a simple postfix server that accepts connections only on 127.0.0.1 and relays everything to my ISP.

Suprised Mozilla wasn't on the list...I used it most until it had so many problems and not so many updates.
Also didn't see wget, curlssl, and netcat...I use those for pages I don't trust ;)

What did you think NC was?
-
is it just me ............
but on the poll I COUNT 40 votes
but see only 23 votes counted
-
Hey Fox,
It's that new math, don't let it bother you... :D
-
OK, since Gore asked for it ;)
Work: Firefox, Thunderbird and some IE and Opera (testing)
Personal: Firefox, Konqueror, webmail (squirrelmail) and Kmail
Sometimes: links, lynx, pine, nail (yes mail is a symbolic link to nail on slackware), nc, curl (lib and commandline)
-
Did you not count the number of people who voted on multiple options?

In a hurry I inadvertantly combined the thought of 'I didn't see X' with I use 'Y' and it came out that way...guess that is what happens when you get older and get interrupted while posting :)
