Welcome to AntiOnline Island, a lush cyber-paradise in the tropic of security. A group of moderators have been stranded on this tiny island floating in the vast ocean known as the internet with nothing but their wits and knowledge to support them. Well I was gonna vote MsM out cause she's a gal and the guys would just stand around checking her out (now that's a real-poor reason isn't it!), but while they've been sitting on their butts drinking beer and watching the tube she's been out exercising and peddling her kester off so she could kick all of their arses. She stays! Now that leaves some interesting choices amongst all that loose gear (Terr) you got on the list. So who (Terr) is the most inactive on the island? Just funning with ya'll

Damn this is a hrad choice, i like all the guys on the list, i know zencoder the least but by the posts i read by him, he looks like a decent guy....
i vote Terr, because we now have two Addict moderators, and Terr is here that often so....

I must say that I am not a great fan of these "personal popularity" type things, amusing though they can be. I feel that there is a certain risk of divisiveness............... they maybe better in Cosmos or Technical Humour?
However, I would comment that "moderating" is rather different from being a knowlegeable, contributing member to a site (any site, not just this one). It is sort of like being referee/adjudicator/umpire at a sports event, rather than playing the game yourself?
Some forums will require more effort than others...........?.............hey, who "moderates" hardware?..........Several of us have pictures of swollen capacitors and fried MoBos (they all talked in the end :D )..............but I have not seen any flames in that forum?

And besides, we all know I'm the least popular moderator (and proud of it, too..) :D I myself, nihil, aren't a fan of popularity contests (probably because I don't win, haha) but also because they are too childish and remind me of those "high school" type of things.

Not sure if you know this or not, but if you click the number of votes (at present... for example the 1 next to me) you can see who has placed those votes. It's not anonymous :)

Very well said young man, very well said. The folks at JM should only call upon people they feel are qualified and not yield to those who ask or beg to be a "mod" for the status.

I've said a lot of controversial stuff because I call things the way I see them. I'm not here to impress, I'm not here for popularity or status. I'm here because I love this site and the educational enrichment it has brought to me. The only time I've really bitched about APs resulted in several people getting banned because they were abusing the system. I've never been banned, never had to come back several times with new identities and try to bullshit my way onto some exalted list or beg for status to get gratification. I come from a generation that believes that a man's word is his bond, that honesty is the best policy. If I help one person, if I only make a difference in one life then I've done my job. I don't need accolades or applause because I'm content in the knowledge that I've made a difference.
If I've insulted anyone with this thread....that's life. I started it in the name of fun. I have no control over the outcome and if that outcome has bruised some egos, well....maybe that's not a bad thing. In the grand scheme of things we're all insignificant and therefore all equals.
In all fairness I would have to vote Ennis off. It would be just cruel to leave an irish man stranded without a beer. Now if a guinness keg was wash up at the same time as the survivors that would change things. Then it would have to Ter for his least active status.
Following the general consensus, i'm voting Terr for lack of visibility.

i am fairly new to AO, so I dont have a strong opinion of any of the candidates. I do know, however, that to be a good moderator, you have to be online! Therefore, i voted for Terr, which is along with the general consensus. I didnt base my vote on everyone else's.

Honestly though, it's only the Addict's forum. It's probably the least active forum requiring little-to-no moderating needed anyways. I'm just what my custom title says, the watchdog.. making sure all is well :D
I was actually going to vote, but after looking at the names and looking more closely at the page, does it really matter? What ever you vote, can be changed by the moderaters themselves.
