Go U.S.A.!!!! With the only player in the World Cup that lives in a German castle, the U.S.A. obviously has the edge. ;)

This year is the 40th Anniversary of the best World Cup Final ever... It's England's turn again!!!!
I remember it _so_ well... We had a 12 or thirteen year old daughter of one of my father's German friends staying for three weeks at the time. She had been there about a week when the final was on. An hour or so before the final my father told her, in his usual joking fashion, that if Germany won he would put her out on the street for the next two week. It was about ten minutes into the first half when we realized she wasn't watching and I was despatched to find her. She was in her bedroom sitting on the bed looking all rather folorn. When asked she was all worried about Germany winning and having nowhere to live for two weeks... :D My father had to come up and persuade her that he was joking and that she should come down and watch the game... She did and seemed quite relieved when we won in overtime... :cool:

Well too me Brazil have more chances than any other.... team is in good shape..... players pretty good as well.... overall pretty good.

personally, I think that the samba's are going to win it again. They've got a hell of a team; ronaldinho, Kaka, robinho, r carlos, cafu, ronaldo etc. although i am a holland fan.
I'm an Italy fan, and I'd support them here... But Brazil have the upper hand, so I voted for them. They have what I'd call back home an 'equipaso' - a team and a half ;)
Although Robinho isn't that great, but that's just MHO. Brazil is bound to win. Unless someone kicks Ronaldinho and breaks his shin :D

I'll be supporting Italy in the World Cup, because of my Italian ancestry.. But I think Brazil's got too good a team to be beaten :(

Actually I notice that there were selection boxes rather than combo box..... and as in my opinioin both Brazil and England are likely to win the Cup so i selected them..... But my first choice is still Brazil.......

go croatia is where my heart is but voted for germany as host nation most of the time comes at least to quarter finals.

I voted brazil - France for the fun of it. Cheers cacosapo :D. Seriously I would say that there is a good chance of a Brasil - England final this time around and I wouldn't be surprised to see Germany in the semi-finals. France may be up there also if they can get their act together. They have a good team when they are playing soccer and not worrying about the sponsers.
