Damn they only put out an update last week or something.
Let me dig up the link..
Ok found the link:
Opera security update
Well at least there consistent with these updates i guess. :)
i like firefox~
k-meleon - Hmm going to give this one a try.
Firefox? I remember when they paid off domains to run a script which blocked IE and Opera users. But when robots like you started showing up in the forums...
I went from not liking it... to outright hating that stupid *****ing piece of garbage.
Libel is a rather expensive hobby I believe? :DQuote:

Use your brains man............... why would a domain block any traffic............ that is what domains thrive on, isn't it?
His first post was "i like firefox~". You can't tell me that wasn't dirty SEO tactics at work.
Lets not forget the whole, "And Firefox is some sort of security product... because we say so" form of false advertising.
Edit: Say what? Google "you need firefox to view" and you'll find remnants of what im talking about. More specifically, scripts like this
Well, I would put this into the "security through obscurity" category?
All browsers are theoretically vulnerable.......... some are targeted less because they are less common?Quote:

I still don't see that it was instigated or sponsored by Firefox?Quote:

With normal adsense it's agianst their terms of service to even ask other users to click those ads. With Firefox they completely changed the rules to get it installed on as many computers as they could. How do you not see what they've done?
Isn't that a Google thing (adsense), rather than Firefox?
I certainly don't trust Google and I think that all these "major players" have some sort of hidden agenda..............after all, dirty tricks don't have to be in your browser code as much as in your business practices?
This is another funny thing they've pulled. They hired Window Snyder to convince horny little teenage boys into thinking that Firefox doubles as an install of pfft... Norton Antivirus or something.Quote:

Yeah it is a nice browser, and there are plenty of user scripts that make it even nice, like adblock plus you can even get downthemall to work.
It's easy to setup and really customizable also
:D
Kind of reminds me of this situation
i think with this sort of tactis i will be staying with my ie7 and k-meleon :drink:Quote:
So apparently Google's adsense program will now pay you $1 for every visitor you get to drop IE for Firefox.
This has led to the creation of propaganda tools like ExplorerDestroyer, which also spawned an easy-to-use Drupal module, with varying levels of forcefulness.
From the project page:
ExporerDestroyer posted:
ExplorerDestroyer: Serious intervention for switching people from Internet Explorer to Firefox. This module displays a banner at the top of your site to promote Firefox, or can blank the content to only display a Firefox splash screen.ExporerDestroyer posted:
For each person you switch, Google gives you up to US$1 as part of their AdSense referral program. Users convert in about 1 out of every 2500 page views.
Caveat: the only catch is it's Firefox + Google Toolbar and you only get $1 for users in "certain locations" (presumably rich countries). A deal-breaker? We didn't think so.
So basically you must use a less common browser so you wont get targeted, something like Linux vs M$ ? :)
