Hi All,

I use gmail.
revently i have started seeing proxy server ip address in my gmail account.
I tried changing the password, but the person seems to keep guessing all my passwords.

Let me know this is being real trouble for me.

I use gmail account from different machines, I dont think there will be key logger on all the machines i use.

Even if there is a key logger, can you help me to find that out.

and can you explain "seeing a proxy in your gmail account"??

How do you do that....granted I dont have a gmail account...but I do have several web mail accounts....and I dont know of that feature.

Gmail has the feature to capture IPs from where account is being used. It shows you the details of 5 ips that used the account.

It is costing me heavily coz i am away from my family and they are getting wierd messages from me, my private info is being passed.

I tried the IP trace tool the ip traces to proxy called hidemyass.com

Please help.

Gmail doesn't seen to have a support email address. they have a support blog. and their help FAQ.

But this doesn't seen to work for the most ppl i see.

Where is this info available? I logged into my gmail account and looked in settings. Couldnt find it.

Use someone elses computer...reset your password and security question per qmails online help

Also check to make sure that they haven't enabled the forwarding and pop settings. ;)

click Settings :> Forwarding and Pop/Imap tab

also change all your secret questions, and answer's and your birthdate to something else.

also i hope that you don't use the same password that you use for your gmail account on other website's do you....?

its wierd, I been having problems with Gmail too. Whats happening for me is I receive emails from myself!


I have come up with 2 explanations:

1) Someone is guessing my password etc, and sending to a large spam list which includes my address.

2) Someone is sending to a large spam list, which inclused my address, faked from my address.

I've changed my security question and password, so hopefully, if I get any more, it will be the latter.

Anyone else had such problems? I'd be intrigued to hear about it.
