Where has most of the AO alumni moved on to? I know they must still be on the boards somewhere, but where? I am referring to the 2003 - 2005 alumni.

They've all grown up and moved on. At least the original cast of characters has.
Still trying to find out how to crack my girl friend's email.

AO is a good resource and quite a few members just enjoy helping out other folk.

nowai, drama used to be kewlness here, when there was an irc...
Been learning new things..like factory automation.....been gone from A.O. for 8 years..with one brief visit in 2009
There was an alumni?
I was not invited.
I just checked back in this morning, been a while. Does anyone know how JP is doing?
edit: i was a long time poster here for people who don't know me. (around 2001-2002), intentionally banned my account ( i think neg did it for me) and so my registration date doesn't actually reflect my longevity as a member.
Joe is doing well. He landed a much better job a couple of subway stops from his residence.
not joe, john, but I'm glad Joe is doing well (whoever that is). John Vranesevich is who i'm asking about.
do I count :P
had to look up Alumni
we still playing
Joe is the old administrator, a.k.a JPnyc,
now for JP the person whom created AO well he runs a chain of gay twink pr0n website's these days.
He found a niche he had more hands on experience in and used he's money from selling AO to fund he's twink startups.
I guess he's true calling wasn't in Comp.Sec but was running a gay twink pr0n site. Guess all those Attrition Doc's were always right. ;)
And i was asked for "proof" about my above post, welp i'm not going to be linking directly, but here's some interesting reading. http://readlist.com/lists/lists.nets...e/4/23726.html
old but still relevant, the links to he's current website'/s are about 1/2 way down the page. :)
I died about 3 years ago surrounded by family and friends. It was a heartwarming picture, indeed. Rockwell-esque. My epitaph reads "Never put off today that which you can wait 'til tomorrow to put off."
I can't believe the idea hit me today out of nowhere to see if this board still existed.
Pffft!
Hey Korp :)
still some of the old guard around
same old same old
lot of bitching
but STILL not been killed off by social sites :p
Boo! ! ! ! ! !
i still come on from time to time
* tap tap * is this thing even still on? I figured it would have been scrapped eventually in all the changing of hands that its done.
NECROTHREAD!!!!!! YEAH
Wow, this place still exists? lol. Why?
If they ever did I'd be interested in a copy of the database. I don't care if it's terabytes big and mostly full of spam accounts either. Trust me, I'd find a use for it.Quote:

Wow I haven't been here in a while. I usually just stay quiet and read a bunch of stuff then disappear for a couple years. Glad to see that AO is still running though.
I figure its maybe 2 or 3 GB max, depending on how much garbage is kept in it.
Lol just logged in since I dunno when, woulda thought all old accounts woulda been scrapped glad there not
I wonder what mysteriously causes everyone to login at the same time and announce their presence.
I miss Brad. :(
