I believe that Windows 2000 will become the forgotten OS after October and the release of ME.
The testing that I did on it showed some good improvements in many areas but not enough to write home about.
Ummm... Do you mean XP? Cause ME is already out, and even if it wasn't... Well, you get the idea. I'll just say I would prefer DOS/3.x over ME any day. ;)
now may i ask whats so wrong about winME that u would use DOS 3.x ?
He means DOS or [/u]Windows[/u] 3.x. The DOS version would probably be v6.22.Quote:

Never sleep and think!
Win2k works just fine.
Well, I switched back to Windows NT,
Windows 2000 gave me a gew too many problems while configuring the server. I still prefer Windows NT.
What ever you do, dont use WinXP. It limits the number of hardware upgrades you can do & then requests that you re-register the OS. :killcompu
As far as the XP upgrades go hardwarwe wise I wouldn't say that. If you get XP Professional Corporate Build 2600 you don't have to re-register. I've been using it for about 3 weeks now and haven't had a problem switching the hardware in and out at all. The main thing I'm happy about is hot-swappable IDE devices cause it makes my job a whole lot easier.
