interoffice e-mail

Once again I am going to quiz the AO community.

Basically all I need to know is what would be the best inter-office e-mail system for an offline network with the possibility of going online?

We currently have about 60 machines all running W2K with two servers running Advanced server 2000. Nothing is connected to the internet (yet).

So to reiterate my question, what would be the best inter-office e-mail system for an offline network with the possiblity of going online?

Exchange/Office is pretty good for inside email! Pretty easy to set up for inside email. Harder when you connect to Internet.

Yeah that is where I was leaning.
