Hiding code that won't go away

OK...I managed to center and lower the Adsense code below the title box...but I can't seem to get rid of '< align: centre > '...part of the code I included to place the Ad where I wanted it.

..when I tried to get rid of it the Ad would revert back to it's original position to the left...

how can I mask or change the code to fix this? Or..is there another solution to centering the Ad and placing it just below but not touching the title box?
