MandrakeMove Boot Disk

I post this thread in the Os Forum but without success (Only 16 views)

So I'll ask again here. I have got myself MandrakeMove on a CD. But the computer I trying to boot on it is a CD-Writer that doesn't support boot directly from the CD. (The Bios give me the failed error bla bla). I know the CD is ok because Linux boot from others computer/cdrom. Now, I'm looking to write myself a floopy image file that will allow me to boot MandrakeMove.

I found some info here http://www.mandrakeuser.org/docs/mdo...-bootdisk.html. I did a image file with RawWrite and cdrom.img without success. You can can give me hint? A lot of greenie to the Linux geek (And god know their a lot on AO) who find me the solution!

Well this is a stupid question, but just to make sure. Have you checked the boot order on your PC? Make sure that it's looking at the cd-rw before it looks at the hdd. I've never heard of a cd-rom drive that you couldn't boot off of, but i suppose anything is possible. If the cd works in other PCs, that would seem like the most likely problem. Throw in an XP CD and see if that boots or not. I'd definately go with checking the BIOS settings first, and making sure the boot devices are ordered correctly.

I don't think the Bios is failing. When I boot, the bios try to boot on the CD but I get failure probably because this computer only Cd-Rom is a very old Hp Cd-Writer (I mean very old like 99) that may not bootable.
