Sorry for this thread.
If you're sorry for the thread, that why did you post it? And no, I don't know any... this one's nice though...
Like this .zip file? It's in powerpoint.....sorry.
Here's a site with some optical illusions. He has one on the main page, and quite a few on the inside. Enjoy. http://www.ebaumsworld.com/
alright, i'm getting sick of people apologizing for their posts. If you have something to say, say it, and don't be sorry for it. otherwise, don't post
Here is a trick you can do.
Get a small piece of paper about this size
______
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|______|
put a dot about the size of a permanent marker tip on it on the top
hold the bottom, with the dot at the top
close one eye
move it real slow from arms length out in front of you towards your eye
and you will see the dot disappear
move it slow and you will see it
for everone it will be a different distance
for me it was about 8 to 12 inches
i forgot the scientific reasoning behind this but it does work
The scientific reason for that trick is that every eye has a blind spot. On the inside of the eye are the nerves that let you see, millions of little sensors that detect light, and send that data to the brains. For that, the eye has to be connected to the brain, so, there's a nerve going from the eye to the brain. There cannot be the above mentioned 'sensors' on the spot that that nerve connects to the eyeball, that's the blind spot of each eye.
I don't mean to steal your trick, but here's the computerized way ;) Best to run this trick at a screen resolution of 1024x768.
Sit close to the screen, your right eye above the O between the code-tag. Close your left eye, and focus the vision of the right eye on the O. Now slowly move back your head from the screen, keeping focused on the O. At some point moving back, you should see the X dissapearing (keep focused on the O though!). There's your blind spot! Works for the other eye too, but then the X should stand on the left of the O.Code:
O X
