Recently someone on irc was asking for a way to convert excel 97 documents to html, at the time all i could recommend was using excel 2000's save as web page feature, a somewhat moot answer as they didn't have excel 2000. Since then i've stumbled upon http://www.xlhtml.org/ - which, as the name suggests, is an app for converting excel to html.
I don't remember who it was that asked the question - hence, this post.
