How old are you?

I know this may seem like a ridiculous poll, but I want to determine the average age of an AntiOnline user. I want to find out exactly what kind of person comes here. I'm particularly interested with both extreme ends of the spectrum, being the lamer script kiddie, and the 40 yr. old professionsal network administrator.

Let me clarify something here before I offend anybody else. I do not assume that all teenagers are hackers or script kiddies, nor do I assume that all middle aged people are professionals. I'm sorry if this was unclear before.

Despite my age (15) I'm not a scriptkiddie, never was, and hope to god I never will be. Right now, I'm in the learning phase, learning languages, TCP/IP, etc.

i am also 15, without any ambition of becoming a script kiddie or a hacker who uses others programs/exploits, so i don't really do anything, except learn and program,

why hack if i don't do it with my own knowledge?

by the way, stflook, what about you?

I'm 16. I hope you don't think I assume all teenagers are script kiddies. That is far from the truth. But I can still obtain a lot of information about who comes here by their age.

Just curious, who voted they were older than god?

It doesn't matter. That answer is there to attract the people who aren't serious about the poll. That way, they still get to have their fun, and my poll remains accurate.

My best friends younger brother (14-15) was trying to be a scriptkiddie/hacker but everything he downloaded had a trojan or a virus in bedded in it. We ran Norton Virus scan on his computer he had 5 trojans 3 viruses of various types. An one of the was a back orfice trojan which allows someone complete control of your computer remotely. We had to fdisk and recreate the partitions it to get it off there a normal format wouldnt do it. Now he just downloads mp3's and pron. =)

I normally just read your guy's post and threads, taking in all the humor and clamor of life here at Antionline. So I feel this would be a good first post.

blow job hand job 7-11 whatever....but seriously...Back Orifice what as "******* program" pun intended :cool: these kids think that hax0rz are kewl and l33t...they download these damn programs...that would work if they knew how to set them up...and it ends up working agains them...actually just had a change of heart...the ones that do know how to set them up are the bad news people...its like gangstas....the ones that are real are dangerous but not as dangerous as the wannabe thugz...the wannbes have the whole spirit of gang warfare wrong and gang up on anyone that crosses their path...real gangstas know the enemy from the innocent...although a few innocent do die in the crossfire...anyone getting my drift or am I just babbling now?

with so many learned teenagers here i feel a lil' older at 23 yrs.

19...just for refrence you may want to change your groupings if you do this at other forums/sites/whatever. alot of 18/19 year-olds get offended by being placed in a group with people all the way down to 15. the usual groupings i see are something like 10 and down, 10-14, 14-18, 18-25, 25-30, 30-40, 40-50, 50+.

that way people dont go "OMG! THAT IS SO LAME!" and flame you...actually im kinda surprised nobody did*caugh*Bad newz*caugh*

Well, I'm about the turn 25, and college just seemed like a waste. Well, at least I'd got to learn C++ in college.

Life ain't what's it cracked up to be...

wow, I'm only 40! I could have swore it was 42 *big relief* (no offense to you old guys out there haha)

So, I'm a 40 year old mom with two young kids! My 8 yr old daughter is learning about TCP/IP, firewalls, intrusion detection and uses Linux :) My 6 yr old son just wants to build things and blow them up.

I'm 46. I worked for Intel from '77 to '80. Got to see the first 8088 and 8086 chips come through the production test floor, they had serial numbers so if one turned up missing we got to turn the place upside down looking for it.

Then I got to see IBM people come in and analyze components for their "new computer" in '80. I was there for the birth of the PC. Let's see, a 4.77mhz, 8088 (8 bit bus, 16 bit internal), no hard drive, 128kb ram, monochrome monitor, 360k floppy and/or tape storage, all this for the low price of $3000.00. And we all thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread.

It's sure come a long way since then!

Hey mystere, like your 6 year old son I too like to build things and blow them up! Im into bomb making and have made and can make many diffrent kinds. Of course my friends and I go out in places with no people or houses to have our fun. So far it has been safe for the most part. There was one time my friend caught a piece of glass in the leg but he is ok and we learned to make that bomb a little diffrently... or run faster! Hmm.. How did I get on bombs from an age thread? Sorry.
