MS Exchange
What does the MS Exchange system do with ANONYMOUS LOGIN and why didn't Microsoft have those process run under an easily identified user id instead of under something that gets such a bogus tag in the log files! & Can I change the tag to something else?

I think the Anonymous Login is used for communication between an Exchange server and users logged in through Outlook Web Access on a separate IIS server. It acts as the "conduit" between the two.
I recall setting the password on the Exchange Server, and setting the account name and password in the IIS Administrator on the separate IIS box that had Outlook Web Access installed. The connection didn't work until I got that straight.
The Anonymous Login may be used for other purposes, but that's all I can scrape off my remaining brain cells.
