As was said eariler, you really should have started a new thread for this.
Download the SDK (linux version) from the Sun web site just as you would the Windows version. No there is no java compiler that comes with Redhat.Quote:

The C language is the same across all platforms. The only major differences are how to compile and link in the libraries. So you don't need a Linux C book just a good C book will do.Quote:
