Just keeping this thing on top...
But also, newbies (well, what am I to tell someone what to do, but I think most of the people here agree?), you can do some work on your own when trying to solve a problem or looking an answer to a question... With Google (+ Google Groups Search) you can easily look for any thing that comes on your mind. And when looking for programs, AntiCode, the file archive of AntiOnline is quite a big. The best firewall (yeah yeah, just IMO, let's not argue with this?) is ZoneAlarm, it's free and you can get it from ZoneLabs.
AntiOnline is a very pleasant place when you just behave yourself. If you're reading this, you probably are new here, so Welcome!
