how do i find ip address and ports?
either through icq im using 0s 9 or manually im willing to sit here for a while to do it thanks

Click on Start button...Then on Run...Then in that little box type command.
A dos window will appear and then you can type.."netstat" or "netstat-a".
If your running a firewall you have to let this connect!!!
ICQ and Yahoo mostly will only give you their server not user your aiming for...But you can transfer a file and find it that way!!!

Isn't os9 a mac operating sytem? no comand line there afaik.

os 9 = mac
you con't run dos with os 9, you sould know that os 9 is not a microsoft product.

can anyone help me im using OS 9 is their anyway other than using netstat on a windoze machine?

I'm not too au fait with the mac os but you can get your ip from somewhere like here
