I work for a communication company dealing with human to computer voice interaction. That deals with emergency notification for the government, businesses, etc. The other side of the house deals with the cable industry. They do all the ordering systems for pay-per-view and web based pay-per-view. The final side is the universal notification team. They deal with servers and software that use your pagers, cell phones, fax machines, e-mails, etc. I'm the one who works with all the software/hardware but only from a staging perspective. I only build the hardware and setup the software for the servers, I don't go out to the sites to install, our contractors handle that. We use everything from windows to unix to linux for internal development. That's about all I care to give away, the other stuff is classified
