Question Help, please. I have been hacked!

Ok, I have read some of the answers to other posts. Here is my problem: there is a guy who is fixated on my girlfriend. (Well, ex- now, more on that later.) First, he cracked my yahoo and hotmail passwords, and sent her much email I didnt want her to see, if you know what I mean. And he changed the personal info so I cannot request a new password because I dont know the friggin zip code he used. Second, he must have got me with a trojan, because he recorded a voice conversation I had with another girl and sent it to the first. (Hence, the ex- in girlfriend!) After visiting this site, I downloaded "The Cleaner 3", and ran it. It found nothing. And I downloaded zonelabs firewall. But apparently that didnt stop him, so I am not sure if he has a keylogger or something, or just a password crack program. Also, before he cracked my hotmail, he sent me a junk email from my yahoo account, probably with something attached, I would think, but I thought the firewall would block access. Yes, I use windows 98, and I am not a technically informed person. (Call me ignorant, and stupid, if you want.) Any suggestions?

Ouch! You didn't use some password that's easy to guess, or a password that is the same for all of those accounts?

As for the voice message... WHOAH! Was this near your computer? Where was this conversation? When was it?

Does he have physical access to your computer or house?

hmnn.. looks like you're in some big trouble down there.

first, why would the hacker do that if he doesnt see the flaw in you? he sent your ex some emails, what kind of emails? are you hiding something from your ex? and you had a conversation with another girl that your gf wasnt suppose to hear? be honest man - next time. and pray your next gf wont learn about that incident. and next time, inform your next gf of your email password. well, just be honest to your girl so no hacker will ever see a "hole" in you which they can "exploit".

    I don't think Cleaner 3 will detect a keylogger.
You need a programme called 'WHOSWATCHINGME' from the trapware corporation. This little prog will pick up most loggers
I supposeyou must have been communicating over the net for him to record a conversation unless he's got your phone line bugged or hidden a camcorder on your premises.

Ah, you never feel you need security until you recieve a trojan in your box. Well first up either this guy is good or you are too easy to manipulate [no offence intended].

I advise you read lots about Windows security, a lot more info than anyone here could provide.

www.windows-help.net should be a starting place followed by tutorials found on most hacker sites.

let me help you oh confused one......

first of all there is a local tech support hotline for those who have their hotmail and yahoo accounts stolen. it is "911-6543". give them a call and tell them the secret password by spelling- "I CUP" aloud. and then if they are laughing that is the top secret code that they reset your email account and please never use hotmail or yahoo again. then you need to grovel to your ex-girlfriend and let her know how much of a jerk you are so she can kick you in the jimmy and then dump you again. you shouldn't hide anything from her anyways, but i'm sure you are in junior high so you're still aloud to play those games, i guess. lastely if you hadn't been having cybersex on something you downloaded from some freak nasty porn site then you probably wouldn't have caught a trojan. there are some programs i suggest that i doubt you've ever heard of, try MCAFEE ANTIVIRUS, FPROT ANTIVIRUS, NORTON ANTIVIRUS, TINY PERSONAL FIREWALL, ZONEALARM, or a hardware firewall.
ok, ok, enough of the flaming, you asked for suggestions.
you had the right idea, in my opinion, on web-based email, bc outlook proliferates viruses like no tomorrow, but use something obscure, not hotmail or yahoo, they are too easy. you probably dont have a trojan, just try using any web based email except hotmail or yahoo, and never leave anything on their server that you wouldn't want anyone else reading.

    Check Zone Alarm 'Programs'

Firstly, if this guy can record conversations from your PC, then he probably knows you are looking here for assistance, and may change tactics.

Might be time to change ISP's so your address is 'lost' to him. If you have ADSL, changing the NIC will change your IP.

Secondly, Zone Alarm is only as good as you set it up. I got a nasty surprise on one computer when I found 'Notepad.exe' was allowed to access the internet. It was a Trojan that renamed itself to 'notepad.exe' and opened a port through Zone Alarm.

Check all programs allowed in and out, to ensure they are legitimate.

Do a netstat -an at the DOS prompt to ensure there are no active connections.

If you see 'his' IP, then report him to your ISP's abuse department.

I did that once...ok forget it, that won't do any good and I should shut up before someone gives me any negative aps.
    Why am I still here?

    having been hacked

Ok, thanks for not flaming me as bad as you did some people. Yes, I know I was wrong and deserve what I got. I learned my lesson, as far as that goes, now I just want this guy to leave me alone. The conversation he recorded was over voicechat on msn messenger. My anti virus software found nothing, as did the cleaner. And zone alarm firewall is active. My passwords were not easy, he even got the one that was a combination of letters and numbers and upper and lower case. He does not have physical access, as he is in another state. Any other suggestions, besides reading for hours and hours? Thank you all in advance. And if he knows I came here, then he can read your answers, too.
